Enough already. Right? Isn’t he as good as gone? Does he not owe it to the Steelers to make up his mind at this point after all the organization has done for him?

Not that simple. Dealing with a delicate situation here. That said, time is running out for Tuitt. Hopefully an answer can be provided before the end of March or at least the beginning of April.

They really don't have to do anything. He is under contract and the Steelers are giving him time. They have Cam, Tyson hopefully back for one more year, Wormley, Loudermilk will make a jump from rookie year to year 2, Adams now under contract and the draft. No real rush right now

Proceed like he won't be here. Frankly I think DL is out biggest need. And I'd take any of the Georgia Behemoths in Rd1 to beef up that line

    ... except the NFL.

For that matter, Rooney Family operates differently than other NFL Ownership.

Unfortunately they need him to say he's done to make the most out of the situation. 13 mil is a lot of money and if they cut him they would only get 4 mil savings. Might as well wait and see if he quits so they can void the contract. I cant think of any reason why his mind wouldn't already be made up one way or another.

If he comes back how durable will he be? He has had several different injuries and has missed time. Now with the knee issue and coming off the death of his brother.

A desire to play is not a concrete answer. They need to know before the draft. The sooner the better.

Delicate matter? He has had over a year to come to terms with what happened/ grieve.. If he is that mentally weak its time for us too move on ..

Yeah, and generally the Steelers do not do things until they have to. I see no reason to do anything right now.

This guy was paid almost 50 million to retire over an email that embarrassed Sanford Health.

As someone that also struggles with mental health stuff I assure it’s not as simple as just getting over it. I also don’t get paid millions to play football either so I understand the other side. I wish him all the best. I hope he comes back. He was an absolute force when he was healthy.

if he was mentally weak he would be in a plot next to his brother by now because that's what grief can do. Priorities that seem important before a tragic loss no longer seem to matter so much after. The human mind is a great and terrible thing and we have barely scraped the surface in understanding it.

I definitely won't be counting on Tuitt. If he's back who's to say he's conditioned. I think it's time to let go of false hopes which is what I think it is now

I'm sure he will give them a definite answer before the draft.

I would agree, but ....When He plays....He's one of the top DL in the league against both the run, and the pass.....So....I'm trying 2 give leeway here in Hopes that He returns, and really wants 2 return.

After reading that article I'm with Tuitt more than I was before. His mother and family members witnessed the tragedy. His arm was severed, both hips and legs broken, his face smashed. If my mother has witnessed that and my younger brother was gone, my life would be all about being there for my mom no matter what. This is bigger than football, bigger than the Steelers, Stephen take what ever time you need. We got your back.

I'm sorry, but it's time for him to make a decision. Or else it's time for Art Rooney to make it for him! If one of us lost a brother tragically or not, we'd have to use sick/vacation days, then go on a 12 week FMLA UNPAID!!!!! After 12 weeks, we'd have a decision to make.

There comes a point where a decision needs to be made. Very few people on this board would have gotten a year off, not to mention being paid a $10 million salary as well...

We as fans do not know what conversations he has or has not had with the Steelers. It's really none of our business. The only thing that matters is if the Steelers are satisfied with whatever communication they have had with him.

They save more money by him being a post June 1 cut anyways, so they have time.
