With the signing of Jack and eventual release of Shobert, the Steelers will actually gain at least a million in cap space. The spending spree likely isn't over.

    Sucks. Shobert > Bush.

Bush is a liability. Needs to be cut.

He was good for a half season and then fizzled out Alaska style.

They both stink. Bush has an excuse, his knee might have finished him.

Bush is a wimp. Doesn't like to hit anyone. Avoids tackles nearly every play

Bush is a lot cheaper. There was no way they were going to keep Schobert over him.

I have been a Steelers fan since four years old in 74 and I have never seen the team this active in free agency. I think the rams success is motivating teams to be more aggressive in free agency. The nfl is a copycat league. We had lots of holes to fill and at least we are trying with free agency and not counting on roomies to fill all of them.

No need to cut him. He’s on a rookie deal.

Because they never had this much cap space to spend in free agency before.

Why? We have Buddy Johnson on the team and have done absolutely nothing with him last year. They also did just offer Spillane another 1 year deal at 2.4 million for 2022

Give Bush another year to get over his injury and kick the tires on Buddy Johnson a little in 2022.

Which means he doesn't like football. Needs to get on with his life's work.

Its between the ears as well. Your knee doesn't tell you to run away from contact, go right when your supposed to go left, look lost in space.

They will trot him out there and hopefully draft an ILB.

That is always one set of stats that I dont think shows favorably for overall team defense. While it's great that they have high numbers of tackles, I'd rather the front seven had more.
