I would take Stafford everyday of the week plus Sunday over Wilson. But hey, that's just me. Goff had one good season and became overrated.

Wilson's a 9 time Pro Bowler and until this season had never missed a game in his career. Until this year, it wasn't even close as to who was a better and more dependable QB.

That's the point. Even with a great QB, any game is losable. And let's be real, the Bills lost to Mahomes, the Chiefs to Burrow. Ok the Pack lost to Garappolo. Like I said, you can win a game, maybe two, when you're QB is clearly worse than the opponents, but you just aren't realistically going to make it all the way to a Lombardi that way. If you're a wild card in the AFC with let's say a Tua at QB, what are the chances they can beat Herbert, Burrow, and Mahomes 3 weeks in a row. Damn slim.

Here we go again. Stafford wasn't even close 2 all they bought in. This is Brady 2 Tampa all over again. Plus they were just in the SB 4 years ago.

Wilson makes very dumb decisions with the game on line. I've never really been a big fan of him. The Pro Bowl is nothing but a popularity contest these days especially in the NFC.

Rodgers I think could have helped the Steelers this year to be a big time contender but at that price it was a no brainer to not even show interest.

of course not, but that's not the point. The question is "Do the Rams regret what they gave up for Stafford?" I would guess that's a resounding "No".

The Rams were only a QB away from getting to the Superbowl IMO. Of coarse they don't regret that decision. Stafford was certainly capable of getting them there. Denver is still quite a ways off in terms of overall talent.

The Rams were in the Super Bowl three years ago, and had improved everywhere but at qb. They gambled and won.

Some day I'll take the time to unpack your Godfather reference in it's entirety but lets just say that as you keep pushing it the points your are trying to make get further and further buried in the attempt.

It’s great that we played the AFC West last season. We don’t have to play all 4 AFC West teams again until 2024. By then Willis should be ready.

As long as Mike Tomlin is around the Steelers will Not win another playoff game so what other teams do shouldn't really concern us.

I am not so sure we should anoint Bronco's a playoff
caliber team just yet. they too as Steelers need pieces
to shore up, but they just added a major one.

6 picks and 3 players are a price too high to pay.
I don't know how Denver will support this move after this year.
They will be good this year as they are carrying a good team into this year and adding the QB gives them a legit shot.
But then there's next year. Wilson probably has about 5 years to play, maybe.

Pittsburgh doesn't need to pay such a price.
    Use those picks to build.
It would be a much better plan to find a young QB that can play another 15 years.
    That is a tall order.

The weakest Rooney likes being competitive but not elite. We accept mediocrity now. The standard is the standard which means 9 wins is awesome and who cares if we are light years from bein gin the same category as other super bowl contenders. The two beatdowns by Cincy showed that. This will finally be the year MT losing his never had a losing season defense. The schedule is much easier than last year so maybe the d carries us to 9 again and no elite QB draft pick. In the NFL, you have to bottom out to get elite QBS and no Qb in this draft is elite.

Russel Wilson is not worth everything Denver gave up. Denver is still probably the third best team in their own division.

Stafford is so underrated. I agree, he is better than Wilson.

Staffords first season with talent around him and he wins a SB.

He’s one of the best QB’s in the league.

Stafford had some good years in Detroit.
He's one of those guys that can win a game with 32 seconds left.
He did concern me at time though, it seemed like he would just loose his accuracy for a series or two.
But even still, he's a very good QB and if they add a more dependable WR than Odell, and get back their TE's, they will be back.

Wilson on the other hand, seems to be fading.
I still think he takes Denver a level up.
    But that costs... whew.

TBH, when I heard I thought same thing as OP. Wilson has been in league for awhile. Do I wish he stayed in the NFC, hell yes but I'm way more concerned with Burrow and Lawrence, two young studs. I'd gladly have Rodgers (staying at GB) and Wilson in AFC if the NFC took Burrow and Lawrence.

Way frigging to early for doom and gloom. We should wait until after the draft to see how things are looking.

And Rodgers gets 200 mill for 4 years :roflmao:Wilson or ANY QB is not worth that much. Insane!

But, but Tomlins winning streak, what would some do? A down year for better draft capital is how they scored Ben. Some like 11 years of being mediocre with spotty playoff bids. Build the foundation up again!
