Well one speaks about it a little differently than the others. One keeps about it while the other 2 make sure what they consider mobile, but what GM,and Rooney consider Mobile every Qb in the entire League is that....While Mike seems 2 be pressing the point. I may just be reading more into it. It just seems like 2 are talking about one thing, and one is another.

I don't know that they actually do that it's just what we say about the farmer college. UND and NDSU have a rivalry going back well over a hundred years. They are separated by 74 miles and while NDSU is a farming school well known for their football program, UND is a hockey school. It was a big deal when the Bison went to Division 1 and couldn't risk playing UND in football anymore because it would hurt their ranking. So we alway poke fun at the farming college and their selective breeding programs.

Agreed. Though the way one talks about it seems different compared 2 the others.

I will freely admit I never gave a thought to Ryan Leaf beyond his being the universal example of a bust. That being said I just watched a bunch of clips of his stints hosting the Rich Eisen show and he is insightful, well spoken, engaging. So I thought this clip could add to the discussion.

Btw do the Steelers have FOMO going on right now.

We haven’t seen Canada’s offense in the pros.

Comparing anything to what he had to work with in college to me is irrelevant. It’s apples and rutabagas.

Now, come September, maybe October, once we have truly seen Canada’s, then we can start complaining.

I seem to have that affect on people

This. Steelers have had a mobile QB for 18 years. The whole mobile/running thing is created by fans.

Tomlin is obviously looking for a Lamar Jackson/Josh Allen type QB.

Well I seen Him in LSU. Which that specific team has a lot of players ...play in the NFL,and He failed miserably. So much so ....they let Him go after one year.

Well, Rooney did say doesn’t necessarily mean we want them to be a significant part of the ground game. It remains to be seen to what degree they will be involved but thats the type of QB Tomlin is looking for and since he’s the coach, he’ll probably get it.

    That's what I'm getting at.
Doesn't it seem that Rooney, and Colbert are talking different type of Mobility than Mike T. is, or is it just Me???

I want to see it where it is, with pro personnel

Not a couple of kids who eventually played pro

Great google moogie don’t compare the two

No one has success with every team they coach with but he also had some very good offenses along the way.

Don’t know if it will translate to the pros but he got fired is not a good argument.

I think there is a difference between elusive and mobile. Ben was never a mobile QB. Never once did I here any defense talking about how they were going to have to have a "Spy" to make sure Ben did not get outside and run for some extra yardage. He just had a knack of using a few steps to get out of the way and buy a little extra time.

Players didn't talk about Ben's speed outside the pocket; they talked about how hard it was to catch him and bring him down when he was still scrambling around inside the pocket.

This is what an elusive young QB looks like, and I don't know where he has gone?

The view from behind the center is just perfect pocket awareness.

I know I have posted this highlight a couple of time in the last few years, but I just love it. This shows a young man working the defense that could be a solid starting QB in the NFL. The bad news is that I have not seen this young guy in a few years.

Don't know what I was thinking.

Where is all this successful Offensive Coordinating done at??? Outside of a couple of games here, and there I can't seem 2 find it???
I mean most OC are moved from college because they did awesome somewhere, and not just a couple of games.
    What I'm I missing??

I pondered this for a bit and can’t come up with any idea what you were thinking

And don’t go looking for that middle finger button, it’s all not there for some reason

But trying to extrapolate any offense played by a bunch of college kids is more than my arms can stretch

    :smiley1:

I don’t know off the top of my head but he has had some high scoring offenses. I don’t expect you to agree, you still won’t admit Allen is a very good QB :lolol:

Depends on who you ask and what their definition is. You just threw another one in there, elusive.

Really comes down to QB’s that run and QB’s that don’t. Mahomes and Herbert are mobile QB’s and no one puts a spy on them either because that’s not the Chargers or Chiefs offense.

And that's why it's great....because it comes when You least expect it....not on a design that Your D has practiced for all week.
