I can't stand the guy but **** I'd do the same thing. 15 mill isn't chump change. The question is why put such a stupid stipulation in the contract like that?

I don't know why the Bucs would do something stupid like that, But i coudnt do it, esp if everyone knew i was going to retire , Guess i was raised diff , or have diff morals than others ...Brady doesn't need that extra 15mill to live a comfortable life, ..

Absolutely! If the Bucs are stupid enough to insert that in a contract then they deserve to have to stroke the check! What is the reason for a provision like that anyway?

If I'm Ben I comeback even as a freaking backup somewhere. Just so I'm not retired the same time.

Good, he can just go eff himself, dimple chinned pr!ck. I sure as hell hope he doesn't take a network analyst job or another gig where he's omnipresent. I've seen all I want to see of that greaseball.

Brady is more likely to promote a line of avocado ice cream or coffee enemas.

I wonder if Ben and Brady will go into the HOF the same year. While Ben should be a 1st ballot HOF, he didn't go out on a high note statistically. Not unlike Bettis his last season or two. You never know how the HOF is going to lean, but I could see them giving Brady the nod and making Ben wait a year. No matter all the asterisks everyone wants to put beside Brady's name he is still the GOAT. Yes, there was deflate gate, video tape, and Kickers winning the game for him. Ben went from having the worst QB performance of any winning QB to throwing the greatest winning TD pass in the Superbowl. Brady's 7th ring with Tampa, I am not aware of any scandal that it requires an asterisk.

Again I say....How does Ben have the worst SB performances of any Winning QB. I know what they say , and show, but P. Manning had a int , a fumble , and No Tds passing, or running. At least Ben scored a running TD.
So I really don't know how they could figure that was worse then P. Manning last SB win.
    Make no sense.

People forget that Ben made a lot of good plays in that game. On a 3rd and around 30 from midfield he scrambled around and hit Heinz Ward at the one yard line. Ben then ran it in from there and gave the Steelers the lead at halftime. On the famous pass from Randel-El to Ward, Ben threw a block on a defender who was coming in untouched and would have blown up the play. Late in the game facing a 3rd and 5 the play call was to hand off to Bettis and then punt. Ben on his own faked the hand-off and boot legged around the end for the first down to seal the game
No his passing stats weren't good but he ran, blocked and made some big passes when it counted. Like his career things weren't always pretty but he got the W at the end.

Any news on Why the retirement from Brady?

This will cost Tampa Bay 32 million in dead cap space for this year or 2022 & 2023, if they retire him after the June date. Obviously his and the team's plans when he signed his 2-year contract extension last year would be that he would be playing in 2021 and 2022.

Does this mean their dead cap for this year because of Brady will be 32 million?

have no idea, i was referring to some 15 mil he could have gotten if he had waited but this cap space is something else.
