I wouldn't mind seeing haden back on a 1yr but I am guessing they let him test the market so if someone is willing to give him some $ and term he probably is gone.

They aren’t going to “let” him test the market.

He is an URFA and he made it clear a year ago he would do exactly that.

I mean there are several other options, however unlikely. Not the least of which is to pay him what he asked for to stay, which he said he wants to.

I think Corliss Waitman should be brought back as our punter instead of Pressley Harvin

Given what Corliss has demonstrated vs Pressley this season, I am betting that this will happen for certain. Pressley needs the competition and Corliss needs a Roster Spot. May the best man win.

    They will.

Since the 2011 CBA, any player that have their Fifth Year Option picked up by the Steelers have been extended. This was seen with both Heyward and DeCastro; Watt and now Fitzpatrick after the fact. Heyward, DeCastro and Watt have all been extended. Yes, there is a new wrinkle in the Fifth Year CBA regarding performance but, I seriously doubt that will be an issue for the Steelers and Minkah to overcome. Minkah however, was not my problem regarding re-signing players. Terrell Edmunds is as had his Fifth Year declined. Given how steady he has been playing all season, it is fair to state that the team will likely work with Terrell to keep him long term here as he has played better than others give him credit for.

The biggest news for me though is whether or not the team picks up Bush's Fifth Year Option. I personally say no but nothing is set in stone yet.

some dont realize we can do worse and have had worse at SS. BUT it all depends on the $$$. personally i would like to see haden tried at safety.

haden can't hold up as a corner let alone making many more tackles as a safety. i'd like to see killebrew given a shot at SS. don't forget stiner the rookie is still on the PS. we made those couple of moves this year along with norwood to help shore up the safety spot, so not going after edmunds 5th year option didn't leave us empty at the spot. stiner and killebrew shouldn't be hard to sign back or cost a lot. maulet is also safety capable. he's probably better there then in the slot as a corner. i think these guys help us from having to draft a safety. they are young enough. edmunds may cost too much or at least more then we want to pay him. killebrew has been playing more towards the end of the season. maybe this is his look for the future.

Waitman came in and made it look seamless. Harvin as we saw was majorly inconsistent. They fight it out in camp. Or cut bait with Harvin.

They didn't offer him the 5th year option for a reason. They need to upgrade. Don't know if Killebrew is the answer but I would keep him around.

Minkah Fitzpatrick will be signed long term hopefully. If not he is a Steeler for the 2022 season on the 5th year option.

i look for them to let minkah play out his option year next year and then franchise tag him and sign him in 2023. ben's and a few others dead money will be off the books then.

Call me crazy, but I bring back Haskins to at least the final cuts at camp. Worst case you cut him and he becomes a PS guy. He's obviously not Option A or even Option B at this point; however, he can be of some use going forward.

Haskins does not have a contract with the Steelers after Sunday so he can sign anywhere next year. With that said, I have my doubts anyone else offers him a contract.

Thanks, I was trying to find his 40 time. That’s not slow by any stretch. He seems to play slower than that.

He wasn’t showing it Monday. I was watching him specifically and if he played tight coverage receivers got away from him and started to get farther away. Just my miopic observation of a few plays.

I think JuJu is a must. I know he doesn't have the flashy numbers like a #1 but JuJu is that Hines Ward type of receiver that will make the tough catches on 3rd down.

It depends on his asking price, I'm not sure he wants to stay with a new QB in 2022.

Idk what WR are available in FA next year. I just do not think Juju is going to command the bucks he thinks he is worth. That said having gone through this last year and with Ben not returning he may indeed opt for the sweetest deal he can get. I think he can be productive and a difference maker for a lot of teams, not necessarily the 1 WR, but he consistently produces. Style of play is different, but a guy like Emanuel Sanders, just all around good and that blue collar guy that QBs love to have around.
