    Not last year he didn’t.

This year they spent a small fortune on the defense in FA.

Hands down he is the best coach in the league but he still needs talent and I think Brady proved who was the straw that stirs that drink.

With all the info available at that time, I chose a hopeful 10-7 . Hasn't worked
out for the Steelers this year. An attitude adjustment is needed thru out the Steelers organization.

If you knew about the injuries and number of players, I think it’s reasonable to assume they win less games. I recall hearing one of the guys on SNR saying something like, “who knew losing Davis would be such a bad thing?” In other words, it’s worse than expected.

So, if I had to remake my predictions, I would probably say 6-11 or 7-10

Obviously, there were some obvious surprises this year. Start with the wins vs Bills, Titans, and Ravens. A few less injuries and maybe one or two more wins happen. Frustrating year for sure, because you want them to be the best.

Given it all, winning these last two games will make cookies out of cookie dough.

Something like a 156million in free agency. Next year steeler fans will be saying look what New England did!

NE is the enemy. I will never emulate them, lol.

I’m not a cap cognoscente, however my perception is most teams spend nearly all of their cap each year. Some invest heavily in a few players. Others invest modestly in multiple players. Some have long-term commitments. Others are only short-term. The recipe for success can be found in any of those scenarios, so long as you have the strength of the team all hitting at the same time.

Just because NE is winning some games in the regular season means nothing. They’re going to be a wildcard team. Good chance they’ll lose in the playoffs.

that was part of it but they lost many key guys to covid. The free agents they got except for judon haven’t made that much of a impact. They just traded their best defensive player and still are doing what they have to do.

I guess my expectations are that at least these guys would know what they are supposed to do. Knowing those losses I would have expected another .500 year. This team though shows a lack of even knowing the fundamentals. No one on defense even close to receivers in the secondary. Extremely poor tackling. Almost zero improvement on the offensive line throughout the year. Lack of a coherent plan on offense. Players complaining about practices. In my mind this all goes back to coaching. But of course these are paid professionals so they shouldn't need a coach to tell them what to do. That's the mantra of those that support coach Tomlin. I no longer support him as a coach. Maybe a couple hostages are exactly what they need in this organization.

Haden was close to a receiver in the Titans game, and he made a game saving tackle .

I would've guessed we would have been an 7-8ish win team under those circumstances. This year was always going to be a tough evaluation due to roster turnover, young OL, aging Ben, new OC, difficult schedule, etc. There were just so many moving parts. We have a lot of money to play with and try to fill some of the holes we have in the roster. We SHOULD be able to field an above average team again next season if we do it correctly.

Even after watching so far knowing the injuries I am surprised the Steelers are where they are.
Losing Alualu and Tuitt really derailed the defense. Tyson was the anchor in the center of the 3 / 4 dline , and Tuitt makes double teaming Watt more difficult.
Haden I expected to miss a game here or there , he is 32 after all. JU JU removes the slot receiver that other teams have to be concerned about. Ray Ray is not scaring anybody.
Injuries and a lack of skilled depth ruined this season.

I might have expected 7-10 maybe even 6-11.

Some wins this year have been won by Heyward and Watt still getting pressure and creating turnovers. Those two have carried this defense.
