He lost out to a crowded field for the WR final cut. Reggie Wayne, Tory Holt and Andre Johnson are in as well as Devin Hester. Hahahahaha I for sure thought he’d get a nod before the kick returner. Oh well he’ll be in within the next 5-10.

What a joke!! Devin Hester!!! LMFAO!

Look up Hester's stats. He wasn't even a full time player!
Even if you add up all his total yards, Hines still trumps him by 6,000 or more. Hines, way more TD's, longer career and more games played. Screw the HOF!! we had too many guys get in, the past several years, is what it is.

If Hester gets in it's for his special teams play, he has the most special teams return TDs with 20.

    Not surprised.

Said this long before the season began Heinz is not getting in. For that matter, look for him not to get in a while yet. Of the two, L.C. Greenwood should get in before Heinz does.

Yep I figured it’d be a 10-15 year wait but not really for a good reason.

He holds most of the special teams records though, with punt return TDs 14.

Yeah, Hester will get in as a game changing return guy. And let's make no mistake he was a game changer. He flipped the field like no other, if only because teams wouldn't even risk kicking to him. I don't know if anyone has ever charted it, but I'd like to see what the avg punt was with him back there vs. other returners.

As for Heins(sic), he's very borderline. Andre Johnson and Reggie Wayne put up better numbers while Holt was a 7x Pro Bowler vs 4x for Heins.

It's going to be hard for him to get in. There's just a lot of players that put up better numbers than him

No wonder he gets no respect, Steelers fans can't even spell his first name correctly!!!!! It's Hines, not Heinz !!!!!

The first play of the Super Bowl Bears vs Colts Hester took it back for a TD.

The SOB Bastards are probably going to give HINES WARD the LC Greenwood treatment.

That will piss me off beyond all Pissed Offness!

Hines should have been chosen over any of those 3.

    Most TD of the 3.

Roughly the same catches (1,000 vs. 1,070)

    Only 2x Super Bowl winner

    Only Super Bowl MVP

His blocks changed the rule book

Speaking of Heinz Woord, you think he’ll come back to Hines Field on Monday for his good buddy, Big Ben’s send off finale??

Hold on. You're arguing that 1070 receptions is roughly the same as 1000, but then try to argue the most TDs? He had 85 vs 82 for Wayne. Is that not "roughly the same"?

Of course Wayne had over 2,000 more receiving yds which isn't "roughly the same".

Look, I'd like to see Heins make it, but objectively speaking it's a hard argument to make. Hell, of those three others, I'd probably rank them Johnson, Wayne, and Holt and only Johnson to me is a guy that should definitely get in. Heins is about on par with the other two, which IMO just misses. He was a very good player for a long time, but he was never considered one the best WR's in the league. He never led the league in any significant receiving category. Great Steeler, great player, just not an all-time great.

And this is why Most Wrs are divas. Because they know people go by stats , and not anything else that goes into winning.
