unless he proves otherwise in the next few games, the old Bush that we drafted, who was fast and quick and a disrupter is over, and the new Bush post surgery is timid, not as powerful, and slower and a shell of his previous self. Again he might prove otherwise in the next few games, but right now the post surgery Bush is ....

Be careful. You could dislocate a shoulder with a reach like that.

True but it helps to pass the time. The alternative is that he is as dumb as a fence post. If it helps I never thought Brown would pull the garbage he did to get out of a good deal in the very middle of it but he did.

Agree, assuming that he has the fire inside to still play at this level. Last time I looked at him, his eyes told me he might not want to go the full 100% and uncertain what he is doing out on the field right now and he sure isn't at Michigan anymore. As a comparison, look at Lamar Jackson, his eyes tell me its game on time. For a player to be a Pittsburgh Steeler LB, I am not seeing it on the outside of him. I hope he gets what he needs to be like he was yr 1 because we really can use his old self right about now. JMO>

Most of the Steeler players are not in touch with what it means to be a Pittsburgh Steeler,
Nor do they care. This is sad for this fan, and for the most sake society in general. Are they not vetting these players when visiting
before the draft? There has to be more leg work done on future picks or you will get this type of player
that shows no respect or pride in performance.

I find the "dumb as a fence post" option far more likely. :)

I'm not sure either guy can help himself. See Brown's current troubles. There is at least some talk of the Bucs cutting him loose, though I'm guessing it won't happen.

I 100% disagree with the wait and see approach. This is the NFL not JV football. If he cant perform or is afraid of what might happen, then he isnt ready to play in the NFL. You leave it all on the field or you dont step foot on it. He is the ILB that has to be able to perform almost better than everyone in order for this defense to be effective. He is getting it done, he needs to sit until his mental attitude is adjusted about the game and about his physical abilities and then decide if this is in fact what he wants to do!! Tomlin and Butler need to hold him accountable and not allow the current below the line play to continue.

This is a lost season regardless so as a young player coming back from a knee injury he needs the reps. Next year is it for him though if he doesn’t take a big step he is the next Edmunds for sure.

If this was baseball you would send him down to the minors to get his head right. No matter how bad he is playing you have to get him reps in full contact, and with the NFLPA practice rules that means in games.

Bush was Pro Bowl type player in the making before his injury; don't be so quick to send him packing.

He is playing scared right now, so you see him standing by the pile, his rookie season he would be under the pile.

Not much to analyze but I think you have to at least keep giving Johnson a look.

Folks the Steelers don't give 2nd big contracts to just anybody unless you're a franchise QB
or a superstar that can be a difference maker. They will keep doing business as usual
and will continue to build thru the draft and mid price free agency. This is their business plan and they haven't
changed for fifty years. Why should they? As a poster pointed out recently, they are one of the most successful NFL franchise's
since the merger. Also don't forget the Steelers always pay up to cap, they always pay their players fair market value.

curious... if he’s drugged then he could possibly play pending tests? Or was he tested due to not being drugged but exhibiting symptoms?

I cant keep up with the changing rules
