Getting outscored 65-20 or whatever to the bengals pretty much showed our true colors

I looked for a "very optimistic" icon with a triple exclamation point to rate your post, but could not find it.

Browns beat Ravens which both hurts and helps the Steelers. It hurts them in the wildcard race because it’s another 7-6 team they have to deal with but still keeps them one game back in the loss column from the Ravens and could really help them if the Bengals lose to the Niners and drop to 7-6.

For the Steelers to make the playoffs, we gotta win the division. It's definitely possible, but not probable.

Yep Bills getting blown out by Tampa, Bengals down 11 to Niners at the half. Broncos beating Detroit and they will also be 7-6 and play the Bengals at home next week in a huge game. Chargers beating the Giants too. So if things stay as they are now here will be the standings going into next week for the wildcard.

    5. Chargers 8-5
    6. Colts 7-6
    7. Bills 7-6
    8. Browns 7-6
    9 Bengals 7-6
    10 Broncos 7-6
    11. Steelers 6-6-1
    12. Raiders 6-7
    13. Dolphins 6-7

So still very much in the wildcard race as they would be a 1/2 game behind the 6 and 7 spots in the wildcard. And plus they are still in the division race as well with Balt 8-5 and Browns and Bengals at 7-6. So this Titans game next week still has a lot at stake as the Steelers could get right back in the race with a win at 7-6-1.

Most of those teams will lose next week.
    Chiefs beat Chargers
Raiders play Browns: likely Browns, but both teams don’t have a winning identity
Chargers play Broncos: again, neither team has a winning identity
NE plays Colts: Colts are impressive lately, unfortunately so is NE. Hard to predict.

Titans are as beatable now as ever this year. Let’s see which Steelers team shows up.

The Steelers if you take a hard look at things have really blown so many opportunities to both be in 1st place in this division and be in a wildcard spot right now. The tie against Detroit, the blowout loss in Cincy with so much at stake and then the other night laying a damn egg in the 1st half in Minnesota after such a huge win against the Ravens to get back in it 4 days before. It’s so damn frustrating as well because this division could be and still could be won by them but they fall on their asses everytime their is a big game they really need to win the last month here. Even more a reason for Tomlin’s seat to be warm and having every right to have his job status questioned.

Looking more importantly at the division next week the Ravens play the Packers possibly without Jackson so they could lose and drop to 8-6. As you pointed out the Browns play Vegas at home on Saturday which as you mentioned is a toss up for me. Vegas isn’t anything special but they are still good enough to show up some weeks and beat quality teams so they can definitely win in Cleveland, and the Bengals have to go play in Denver which is never an easy place to play. So if the Steelers find a way to win the game against the Titans you could conceivably see the standings looking like this.

    Bengals 8-6
    Ravens 8-6
    Steelers 7-6-1
    Browns 7-7

So yea this division race is far far from over and the Steelers at least will still go into next week with a pulse in this division race. It’s still wide open.

Well all the AFC games are final and the Steelers had a lot fall their way to keep them in both the AFC North and wildcard race. Here are the wildcard standings.

    5 Chargers 8-5
    6 Colts 7-6
    7 Bills 7-6
    8 Browns 7-6
    9 Bengals 7-6
    10 Broncos 7-6
    11 Steelers 6-6-1
    12 Raiders 6-7
    13 Dolphins 6-7

Man there are some huge games next week in the AFC to go with the Steelers Titans game. Colts and Patriots, Browns and Raiders, Bengals and Broncos and Packers and Ravens. Steelers still have an opportunity right in front of them if they can win the game Sunday against Tennessee and some of these other results can go their way which there is a good chance they very well could.

Seems bad, but could have been even worse if Bills and Bengals won.

Yea had both Cincy and Buffalo won those games which it was looking like they might do that would have been a disaster for the Steelers. They needed both of them to lose today more then any other results and keep them in that 5 or 6 team mess of 7-6 teams to give themselves a chance going into next week against Tennessee which they now have. The Browns had a great day as they moved up into the 8th spot ahead of the Bengals and are in 2nd place a game behind the Ravens. The Steelers are still also very very much alive in the AFC North race still as well. They have the same amount of losses as the Bengals and Browns and are one game back in the loss column of the Ravens. So still very very much in it going into next week which will be an absolutely huge week around the entire NFL with so many critical games, and for the Steelers playoff chances.

Are we really gonna do anything in playoffs if we miraculously made it??? I think I’d rather lose most of remaining games and get better draft pick

    People crack me up.

Saying Steelers suck….Get off our board and be a fan of another team!!!

Saying if we do make the playoffs we have no chance…..At least we get to watch our Steelers play another week, unlike 18 other teams.

Saying let’s lose so we can get a better draft pick….Will a few draft pick make us contenders next season? I think to become contenders next season will be picking up free agents, not rookies. (Especially at QB)

Saying we need a new QB…..Ben IS NOT what is costing us games.

Those two games Saturday Raiders at Browns and Patriots at Colts are both huge games for the Steelers and can help set the tone for Sunday if both the Raiders and Patriots can both win. The Browns losing to the Raiders helps the Steelers out in both the AFC North race and the wildcard race, and a Colts loss to the Patriots helps the Steelers in the wildcard race. I do think both of these results have a better then 50 percent chance of happening. The Steelers need to win their game with the Titans or none of this will matter. But there is a ton of games this weekend that will impact the Steelers for both their division and wildcard chances. It should be a great Saturday and Sunday of football this weekend I can’t wait to watch it to see how it all unfolds.

It’s a shame really-just think if they had beaten the Raiders and Lions at home
    No playoffs

probably, i wrote that at 5p that afternoon.

    WE SUCK

but - we may miss by a lot more. No way we beat KC. and Tenn looks unlikely too. Esp if Henry is running....
