Tomlin said in the presser when you’re winning that much you can allow the other team to score lol harsh.

Yea. I read that 4 times and it doesn't make a bit of sense at all to me. I think he's down to just mumbling word salads at this point. upload_2021-12-10_8-9-56.jpeg

This team.has plummeted the last FIVE years! Idk why some on here are so surprised... It's what Tomlins teams are known for ( they fizzle out ) and they sure as Hell, Don't unleash Hell!

Choking doesn’t apply to a team that has been struggling to stay above 500.

It’s been obvious since week 2 that this team was in a lot of trouble. Even the win over the Bills had red flags.

I didn't hear the quote, but I believe he means that when a team is blowing you out, they can allow your team to score and get away with it. I think he was downplaying the importance of the comeback, saying it doesn't mean much because of the way the Vikings kicked their asses most of the night.

Tomlin was right about that. I'm not all that impressed with the comeback. It is a lot easier to put a couple of scores together when the opponent has taken its collective foot off the gas. Also, Roethlisberger was tossing up 50-50 balls a bit recklessly, something you can do when you are down by a big margin. They got two or three big gains on balls thrown up for grabs.

Gave up 205 yards to a guy with one arm.

If I see Butlers stupid smile when they pan in on him again i'm going through the TV.

It's more then obvious that player development is lacking. The apologists will say its the players. Its a cocktail of both.

Colbert needs to go. I want Tomlin gone and a fresh approach going forward but that won't happen.

In this league you are always going to have injuries to 1st tier players. But when you have 2nd tier players come in and look and play like s#$% that's on coaching, development, understanding schemes. Fail. That and their are some 1st tier that just don't get it as well.

I'm printing up new shirts "15 Minute Men". 4th Quarter Darlings.

Good thing they have 10 days to chew on it. Good thing that Henry is out. I can't see another win at this point.

Unleash Hell? Yea that's the opponents mantra.

Now to key up the excuses...

There is no excuse for that first half last night. None. They weren't prepared. It's that simple.

I think you are too dismissive of just how badly injuries have hit the Steelers, but I get your overall point.

I do agree the injuries of Alualu, the Tuitt situation have hurt the D Line. But, this was early on! The players behind the 1st tier are just not prepared for this next man up mentality. That's on the person called head coach.

Yes, it was early on. That means they have been without those guys almost the entire season. They have also been missing Davis much of the season and now Buggs is out, too, so they are missing some of their next men up as well.

I'm going to say this and I'll sound like a broken record until they fix it but it's tough for the next man up not to look bad when they do what their supposed to and the 1st tier player behind them continually screws the pooch. The front 3 eat up dbl teams expecting the ilb's to stop the running back only to find out the followed the action and are in the wrong spot. Marcus Allen shot the gap twice in a row on the opening drive only to realize Cook had run right past him. Bush is covering Conklin and for a reason known only to him he stops and stares at Kirk Cousins as if he is Lemar Jackson or Herbert.

Lest we blame the defense for everything Chuks gets manhandled most of the time and on the rare occasion he is getting a good block and sealing his man to the inside Harris tries to cut back rather than off tackle and gets right in the path Chuks was pushing his guy into. Turner gives guys a clear shot at Ben and Ben loves his 3Wr 1TE 1rbgroup so much that even while he had it he tries to pump fake and get a kill shot if he is able to.

    Just bad efforts all around.
