Can't say the Rams don't go high when they trade away picks - they'd better win it all at least once with so few draft picks in the coming years.

Respect the Broncos for making what was probably an emotional, difficult move with a franchise centerpiece. They aren't winning a Super Bowl any time soon and made a strong team building move despite being mathematically alive for the playoffs.

Hope the Steelers follow this path this offseason, like they should have last offseason.

A few years ago Houston thought they were only an offensive tackle away from that level, and traded away the farm for Tunsill. How'd that work out for them?

And in the 2022 draft the Rams take no one. This is a incredibly stupid strategy in 5 years they will be bottom feeders.

It’ll be interesting to see how it all goes for them in the future, talk about pushing all your chips in!!

Id say a lot of their fans will accept a down period if they win a Super Bowl with this roster. If they get hot in December and into January they are good enough to do it I think.

The two likely playoff teams they played they got bullied all over their field I wouldn’t trust them to get it done.

Good point. Strength of schedule can skew our perceptions of teams

Who cares? You play to win now, not 5 years from now. If they feel they are a true contender, why not add more pieces now to make their team stronger? We've been building through the draft since forever and haven't won **** in over a decade. Now we're on the verge of a rebuild. Draft picks are far from a sure thing. Von Miller is.

IF they win the SB this year, they'll be thrilled to be bottom feeders 5 years from now.

Hmmm. We are all different, but I have watched this team Win multiple SB, and Nary a one has made me ok with having losing seasons. Let alone many of them.

It's not so much about being ok with losing seasons, it's going all in when you have a chance. As good an organization as the Steelers are, look how long it took them to win another SB. It's hard to win at the best of times. So for LA, they have a chance right now, and that window might close on them in a few years, so they're going to go all in. If that means sacrifices have to be made in a few years, they're willing to do that, and I think that's the right approach to take. The Steelers did it with Minkah although I didn't think we were as strong a contender as the Rams currently are.

In a couple years all those aging veterans are going to want to get paid and they will ultimately have to pick and choose who they keep with no developed young talent behind them. I think they have traded away all of their 1st round draft picks for years.

I don't know, in other threads people mock the Lions and Browns for constantly drafting high and never winning. This is the opposite end of the spectrum, will be interesting to see if they all gel by the time the playoffs arrive.

Part of that is their coaching and gm carousel. Rebuilding doesn’t happen overnight. Those teams fire their coaches and general managers. They bring in a new regime with a different scheme. When the results aren’t immediate ownership fires the coach and gm. Then brings in a new regime with a née scheme. Everytime they do so they’re starting from scratch. It’s a self fulfilling prophecy.
