The Steelers should've made a trade for a NT

There were rumors that they were interested in Fletcher Cox at the trade deadline, I'm glad they didn't give up a third round pick for him. But they should've tried to get a decent player at NT that can play first and second down, Buggs gets moved too easily. They're down three players on the DL Tuitt, Alalu, and Davis, but they only added some scrubs to the practice squad.

 

Was anyone worthwhile out there? Cox yes but not for a 3rd.

 

They need to change up their defensive scheme anyway

 

Hargrave is playing great football, he is an anchor on that line and the Eagles were never going to let him go but yeah, that would have been great.

 

I'm more concerned about getting a Left Tackle. Moore is getting owned every game. Villanueva was showing his age but Moore is just too raw for this very important role.

 

DL needs to be completely rebuilt soon. Alualu is 35 next year, Heyward 33, Tuitt may be done.

 

Disagree, but wouldn’t be opposed to them drafting Jordan Davis out of UGA. He’s probably a bit tall as a traditional nt, but a beast nonetheless.

 

They don't value the position that much, and Alualu might have proved them right. Just need to find another castoff 30-ish vet to hold it down every 2-3 years.

 

Giving up a 3rd for Cox was to steep due to the fact we might not get a comp 3rd for Alvin. Hopefully we get the 3rd. If they were sure he would fetch the 3rd I would have brought Cox in. The dude is a beast and would fit right in. Heyward and Cox would be mind blowing. Didn't happen. To bad.

Still not positive Tuitt will play this season.

 

they are quietly. buggs, davis though injured this year, loudermilk, and wormley hasn't been playing that bad so far, mondeaux, they picked up davis' brother also. i'm sure we will see a draft pick this year.

 

Loudermilk the only one with any upside to become anything close to Heyward/Tuitt. All those other guys are just guys.

 

the league is full of guys. not all will be all-pros.

 

On SNR they mentioned Tim Settle that plays for Washington, I don't think he starts for them, maybe they could've gotten him for a late round pick.

 

I think they will get the 3rd for Dupree, as long as he stays healthy and keep playing they should be good.
