I said they should have taken Lamar before he ever took a snap in the NFL.

Ben was talking about retirement after the 2017 season, it made perfect sense to draft Lamar and let him watch for a year even after Ben announced his return in April of 2018.

We can use hindsight in this situation.. Ben won't leave. So getting Lamar is pointless. Lamar would be Dobbs. I still believe Dobbs could've been better than Lamar.

I agreed with this post though I'm not sure about the last bit.

But definitely, I highly doubt Lamar flourishes in Pittsburgh like he did in Baltimore.

    Wait, wut?

Anyway, assuming Ben still blows an elbow in 2019, Lamar would have gotten a chance to play.

I hated the Edmunds pick from the second it happened and made no effort to hide it. However, my dream first round pick that year was Minkah, but I never thought he’d fall to us. Lo and behold, the front office made it happen!

I think it’s pretty clear now that Edmunds is not a great player and likely will not be someone the Steelers use the 5th year option on. I think SS is a position the team will look to upgrade and may already be trying with Karl Joseph. I can’t really figure out what the deal is with him (or Anthony Miller for that matter).

I think Dobbs could've been better than Lamar if given the chance and confidence from head coach Lamar got. Dobbs is way smarter and better arm imo. Lamar obviously was better at running but Dobbs could run if need be and not the worst.

What part of they changed the whole offense 2 fit Him Don't You get??
The Steelers wouldn't change their whole offense for just one Year. Dude their is a reason JuJu, and No free agent Wrs go 2 Baltimore . Also You talk about Circus catches...I noticed You don't bring those up with Lamar... Hell he'd have only about 3 Tds passing this year if it wasn't for Circus catches. Yet if We ask Claypool 2 just adjust better....You say some stupid $h!+.

I'm going to take an educated guess here and suggest that the thing he doesn't get is how anyone who actually watches football could think that Dobbs could be better than Lamar Jackson if only he had been given more of an opportunity.

They don't need Miller or Joseph right now, but I think Miller might get some time before the season is over.

Edmunds showed exactly why he is a bust yet again last night. He was horrid. So was Bush. If only they had the opportunity to draft an outstanding inside linebacker the previous season rather than trade up for a guy who is that overmatched. Oh, wait....
