Ok Tomlin Ball Washer... Ingram was pissed, Blount pissed,Burnett pissed...I would ASSUME Balledge didn't sign up for this, or Witherspoon wanted this! But " Oh Popcorn......Take me " !

You keep trying to portray Ballage as if he was in high demand. He is a scrub who averaged 3.3 yards per carry last season. He wasn't in any position to demand significant playing time.

Yet again, Witherspoon was not a free agent. The Steelers traded for him.

Your argument would hold up better if you didn't include such blatant errors in your posts.

Ingram was asked if he wanted out of Pittsburgh. He ducked the question but did say the situation wasn't what he thought it would be. He followed that with some lip service to respecting the Steelers.

"I ain't into telling lies, it was different," Ingram said. "It wasn't what I thought it was going to be. It was good. It was a dope situation. I respect all those guys. I respect Coach Tomlin. I respect all the players. It was definitely a blessing to be there. I can't sit here and downplay that in no way, shape, or form."

He also said he doesn't know what Tomlin means by not wanting hostages, because apparently, Ingram is either a moron or completely full of crap.

Ingram shows up and thinks just because he's a former Pro Bowl player, that he should get more playing time than Highsmith, good riddance to that ungrateful piece of crap.

    Regarding Ingram:

“I think all of us think we are better than we are, but we’ve got to suffer reality sometimes.”

This is where a follow up question would involve explaining to him that Tomlin means that either you want to be there doing whatever you can to help the team versus staying there being unhappy about playing time grumbling and wanting released or traded. Not actually holding you against your will. In all honesty if he was that delusional about his ability I don't think he would have been happy if he was a co-starter. Too bad though he could have had a good year to spring board off of.

I'm not sure the Kansas City media cares that much, and they were the ones interviewing him. I don't think he has spoken with anybody who covers the Steelers.

Considering his talent I would think he did have a chance. Guess Highsmith was just outplaying him THAT much...

Says the dope who puts Spillane in as the dime LB and routinely lets LBs cover #1 WRs. The day that hayseed is fired can't come soon enough.

That Hayseed is just a puppet for Popcorn.

Tomlin calls the defense and said so after the clowns game in his presser Then backtracked at his Tuesday presser.

BS, then why does Butler has the big playsheet, and most of the time Tomlin doesn't have a playsheet at all?

Again for those in the back he is a Puppet. He lays the groundwork and Tomlin has the last say. I'm sure Tomlin knows the defensive calls.

Like I mentioned he admitted in the presser after the clowns game he calls the defense. More then once. Backtracked and said it was a collective effort in his Tuesday presser.

Personally I don't give a care who calls the Defense as long as it works...

What Butler said was pretty unnecessary IMO. Just say “we didn’t agree on how much playing time he should get” and leave it at that. No need publicly challenging the manhood of a guy who will be coming after our Qb in a few weeks.

Keith Butler's words were... well... not very considerate to say the least. However, that should be the least of the Steelers concerns. How well Dan Moore Jr continues to develop will be a major telling point when the team plays Kansas City as Moore still has had issues dealing with speed rushers. While Ingram is no longer the explosive player he once was, he is still very good at converting speed to power. How much Dan Moore Jr has grown will be one of many subplots leading up to that game; Butler's comments being more so for the media to feast upon than anything else.

No, they cut him to keep Jones, who they ended up cutting anyway.

That said, it is very much looking like a mistake. Roche started for the Giants against the Raiders today. He just came through with a strip sack on Carr to put the game away for New York.
