As I pointed out in the other thread, Diontae had to adjust/slow down for both. Decent throws, but for every one of those there are 10 that are nowhere near the mark.

Ben's the 60-year old golfer who still thinks he can play on the tour after a couple birdies.

Agree, if he stays healthy, which hasn't been consistently happening of late.

If we continue to improve each week, then my prediction of 6-11 will get blown out of the water and I will state that it was my prediction that caused them to do better and the Gods were against me. If we are like last year, where we start out good and later implode, then my prediction is what I thought it would be. In other words, can we avoid the end of the season disaster and keep building instead? We're what we were last year until we're not and we have some games to go to prove that. Beating the Bills and the Stains makes it a little hard to own up to my prediction until I remember we were 11-0 at one point last year. Also, we'll see if we can beat teams we're favored against (especially at home) which scare me bit time.

No kidding. My point is if Ben gets hurt again like last year, I doubt he will play better than he would if he didn't get hurt.

Best case scenario considering extremely tough schedule:

    1. Our offense gradually improves as the season progresses.

    2. We sneak into the playoffs with momentum and with no significant injuries.

    3. No team of destiny opposes us.

Just making the playoffs this year would be a minor miracle IMO because of our schedule.

Well if Claypool would make more of those contested catches downfield, Ben stats would be better.

Every throw isn't going to be perfect, good receivers know how to make adjustments and catch the ball.

Imagine needing to use the lack of circus catches on poorly thrown balls as an argument to defend your QB.

Ridiculous. Again do you watch football. I would say we've had less ....so called Circus catches than most teams in the league. Hell L. Jackson would only have 3 tds this year if it wasn't for Circus catches. Have You watched any of the catches being made in Buffalo this Year??? Arizona????

Playing hurt is affecting his mechanics per his own admission.

I still see 9-8, as I thought before the season started. With the AFC this year that could be enough for a wild card.

    This.

2019 and 2020 are results of their totality; lack of an offense. 2019 saw that the Steelers needed more weapons on the field and 2020 saw that, not only could Big Ben not throw the deep ball nearly as well anymore as he once did, the Offensive Line was at the end of the road in addition to a lack of a running game. 2021 has a good chance to be different.

That said, I still agree with Elvis that, at some point, putting up 30 or more points will be needed at some point this season. When that will happen is anyone's guess. However, that has to happen sooner than later.... and I believe that the entire Offense knows that as well.

I also said 10-7. I did not say though playoffs as I believe the AFC would be a lot more challenging than in years past. It was shaping up to be that way... then Derrick Henry sadly got injured. That opens up the AFC Playoff Race in a big way.

Lynn Swann made it to the hall of fame making circus catches, and he had a HoF QB in Bradshaw .
