Ingram was a Pro Bowl caliber player, but he hasn't performed up to that level in extensive playing time this season. He had one sack in the first six games. He looked great in the opener, but not so much since.

He’s been getting a fair amount of playing time. I don’t understand why some of you guys don’t look into a story before you form an opinion and start getting all worked up over something made up in your own mind.

When Ingram got a start he looked slow and gassed. He’s excelled in a rotational role.

i see your point TDFW, but also know as we age the head says we can do but the body says no you can't. i see it more this way for ingram and if he want's to make a difference he should take advantage of each situation he gets, and he's not really done that. in another note, taco has a chance to reenergize his status as a first rounder too, this is his shot as well. both of those guys have been given a chance, will they seize it is the question?

yea i kind of agree CK. he hasn't shown a lot here so why would a team give up a lot? i think it's a mistake to give him up at this stage of the season, unless he's given up on us, then see ya, don't let the door hit ya where the good lord split ya.

They were shopping him prior most likely - that's why he "demanded a trade", he knew he was not wanted.

He still has more snaps than Highsmith, and almost as much as TJ....So I can't see how He's not wanted...I bet they wanted Him for this game.

Why? The whole reason he got brought in was because our starting OLB went down last year and there was no back up to adequately take his place?

No team is giving up a 3rd for Ingram, he's 32 has one sack, and will be a free agent after the season.

Because Highsmith is the starter, and Ingram was signed to be a backup.

It is more than just stats with Ingram. Stats for both Highsmith and Ingram are about the same. But Ingram is always around the ball. I like Highsmith as a player as well. But from what I have watched so far this season, I feel like Ingram is the better player.

They were trying to sign Mercilus last week. They already had signed Taco. Word is they were taking calls and got an offer from the Chiefs. This all happened before he said he wanted out.

    2 + 2 = 4.

JH 2.0, judging a player off his past. Ingram at this stage of his career is not better than Highsmith, at best it’s a wash and you’d naturally want to play the guy who is young and that you are developing.

I don’t see him even listed. Fumble was attributed to Watt.

Agreed. Now if Ingram was tearing it up then yeah he probably need to start over Highsmith. Ingram is perfect for us in a rotational role. Even he’s got to be smart enough to recognize that.
I did find it interesting that it was reported Ingram didn’t make the trip to Cleveland with the team. Now I know I’ve read in the past that Tomlin doesn’t require injured players to travel to away games, But Ebron was there yesterday.

I still don’t know if I fully believe that Ingram asked for a trade. Charlie batch and Stan Saverne talked about it in the post game show a little bit. Basically said that if the rumors are true Tomlin may not even allow Ingram in the building on Monday. Now that’s all speculation of course. I still think Ingram has way more value to us this season than some late round draft pick we may get in a trade.

Joe Schobert was credited with the forced fumble according to the official box score.
