Absolutely. Harris has been great. Gotta love Diontae Johnson stepping up as our #1 WR and Friermuth getting himself revved up to be a real difference maker as well. If our line continues to improve, we actually could have a pretty darn good offense.

I set the over/under at 8.5 games, they're 7 in and he's taking a beating. Looks like a durable enough guy, but he'd better last, we got nothing at all behind him.

He's a true #1 back and we have the 5th year option since he was a first round pick... Run his wheels off for 6 years (one franchise tag) then cut him loose. Welcome to the new NFL.

Fine, but have a better backup to spell him/fill in in case of injury. Ben Tate has retired.

Maybe that will be a priority in the offseason... Who knows? I doubt Ballage has a role with the team after this season and McFarland has the rest of this season to prove he can contribute in a meaningful way. There might be someone available. Or maybe we take a late round RB in the draft and see what happens. Lots of options.

I'd scour the waiver wires, maybe look for a trade partner.

You can say that for just about any other backfield in the NFL not named Cleveland.

IDK who we could target in a trade, but the waiver wire is pretty bare. TJ Yeldon? D'Onte Foreman? Old man Shady McCoy? I'll pass on that.

How many teams have a dominant feature back mentality? Tenn, GB, who else? Indy? Seems like the overwhelming majority of teams use RBBC.

And you think if one of those committee players goes down it won’t effect the running game for that team? How many of those teams has a great offensive line? Contrary to belief, it’s not easy to build a line that dominant that a 3rd string running back can come in and produce.

Baltimore would've if Dobbins stayed healthy. Lamar is their main rusher anyways. Carolina with McCaffrey, Vikings with Cook. Bengals and Mixon. NO with Kamara. Basically every team that has a RB good enough to be a feature back uses them in that manner (minus the Browns who have 2 RB's that are good enough to be feature backs).

Yeah, I like him, he’s an exciting player. I think he would excel under Canada.

But it was a mistake to draft Harris and Freiermuth in the first two rounds, the Steelers should've reached for OL instead .

That's a fair assessment. Him extending the play and finding ways to turn it over would have me pulling my hair out, but he might be a great fit with what Canada wants to do with this offense. He's an exciting player for sure. Not sure there are many QB's I would consider from this draft, but he is one of them.

Not as much as losing your only guy in a 1-back system. Look at Balt, Cleve, SF, etc.

This is a losing battle, blast - the Steelers put all their eggs in one basket. Kind of surprise you don't understand this simple concept.

Every team in the league outside of Cleveland that has a premier RB uses them as the feature back. There just isn't that many feature backs, so not a ton of teams can go that route. We do. I doubt we go Najee's whole career with us without a viable second back. However, I don't think we trade for one this year. We've already given picks up for Schobert and Witherspoon. Unless someone is willing to do a Ebron for your RB or Ingram for your RB trade, then we roll with what we have.

I actually like the idea of Cordarelle Patterson as the back up RB next year. He is on a one year deal now and could be a good fit in Canada's offense as a threat. Good enough to take 3-4 carries and could be split out wide to take reverses or go out for routes as a WR. Wont be super expensive and could get here for 2 years 4ish million total contract. Voidable second year if he doesnt perform. Not bad.
