For what it was worth yesterday the Steelers got themselves right back in the thick of things in both the division and wildcard spots. The Bengals,Browns, Broncos obviously, Raiders, and Chiefs all lost yesterday and they are currently in a log jam in the AFC at either 3-2 or 2-3. So don’t want to get too excited over this but with this upcoming schedule of facing teams at home such as Seattle without Russell Wilson, and the Bears with Fields and the Lions with Goff puts them in a pretty good position to get to 5-4 after 9 games. So we’ll see what happens but this is why the people that were writing this season off after 3 or 4 games shows it was just way too premature and a lot can still happen.

Really hope Lions win a game soon. Assuming the Ravens take lead in AFCN after tonight.

It's a great season so far in terms of the unpredictability and general balance across the league.

I've never understood why people want to predict schedules and write off seasons so early, but that's just me. Steelers have many improvements to make, but they aren't out of it right now.

Steelers are still the worst team in the North. Bengals barely lost to the Packers, Browns lost to what may be the best AFC team at present. Ravens will beat the Colts tonight.

Browns lost to the Bills? Herbert is good but, don’t worry, Spanish will find a way to “Charger” it up!

I’m just happy to be 2-3 instead of 1-4 today. String together a couple more W’s and I’ll start to think about the standings.

Steelers have to play Chargers @ LA in November. Steelers are always prepared to play games on the west coast. That is gonna be a whoopin.

They’ll have traded away all their good players by then! It’s the Charger way!

Colts look like they are gonna beat the Ravens tonight. So just a huge turnaround in the standings in just a weeks time. This is why I will say it yet again one more time that it was way way too early to give up on this season yet and proclaim this Steelers team dead after just 3 or 4 games.

Man what a choke job by the Colts. There is no excuse at all to blow a 22-3 lead to start the 4th quarter. Coaches need fired and players need cut after this loss. That was just awful display of football by the Colts.

    I mean....

Even when they had Peyton Manning, the Colts often choked in the Playoffs. No surprise there honestly. I am more impressed that Baltimore did not run themselves back into this one like they normally do. That said though, had they done that..... they would have lost as the more a team runs.... the more time they lose.

On a positive note, the 1974-1977 Steelers Record still stands!! No shame in holding onto that!! I say this week was a win win after all in the end!! :herewego:

Ravens look to be a bit of a fraud - two lucky wins over the Lions and Colts.

Ironically, this Steeler team looks very much like that 2019 version. Unfortunately, this isn't a 5-11 Chargers team with a rag-arm, immobile QB.

Yea there is probably some truth to that. I mean you gotta give Lamar Jackson some credit as well for not giving up in either of those games and making some great throws in big spots and some huge plays overall. He has definitely improved his ability to throw the ball and make plays with his arm. Those teams speaking of the Lions and Colts both left the door open for the Ravens to win both of those games and to their credit they took advantage of it and found a way to win both.

But I’m with you though the Ravens aren’t gonna be able to make a living winning games like this moving forward this season especially against better teams. You’re not gonna kick a 66 yard FG to win a game like Tucker did a few weeks ago against Detroit and come back down 19 points to start the 4th quarter like the Ravens did against a weak minded poorly coached Colts team.

We will see how good the Ravens are the next few weeks when they play the Chargers and Bengals back to back weeks at home. If they are losing against those teams and down late in the game they aren’t gonna be able to pull miracle type wins out of their asses against those teams like they did against both the Lions and Colts these last few weeks.
