Through two games the Steelers only have 114 rushing yards. 33 points scored on offense.
The Ravens have 440 rushing yards through two games. 63 points scored on offense.

Steelers have a 1st round pick from Alabama at running back. Ravens lost their top 3 RBs to IR and are starting multiple street free agents. I have a feeling we could have Derrick Henry at RB and still struggle to break 100 yards rushing a game as a team.

Steelers OL is young, but the Ravens OL is unheralded too. They were without their All-Pro Stanley and they have the ghost of Villanueva starting for them too. Yes, Lamar Jackson is a dynamic rusher but we supposedly have 3 elite WRs in Johnson, Claypool and Juju.

    Is it just coaching?

We have a noodle armed, immobile QB who has to play out of the shotgun and doesn't even try anything passed the line of scrimmage except for deep shots down the sideline when the safety is vacated because otherwise he can't get the ball there in time. The offense is extremely limited by Ben's limitations. There is a reason that the only time in the last two seasons that it looked like we had an actual identity on offense was the game where Rudolph started. He might not be particularly good but he at least has an NFL quality arm and can run an actual offense and not this dink and dunk crap. We will never get a running game going with the current "offense."

A rah rah Ravens post disguised as Steeler shortcomings, brilliant Benny. The "Tomlin blows" parrots will be here soon, hand & hand with the Ben sucks crowd. Find some dirt on the defense, your quite successful with your threads.

Sure some of it is coach and game planning. Everyone knows Ben isn't going to take off so we are pretty one dimensional.

Maybe to drive the point home further the Ravens put three guys in the backfield with Jackson in either shotgun or pistol sometimes the TE motioned back to the line. The Chiefs sold out to stop the run and still couldnt prevent the run or passes to TE's. Steelers went empty set and couldn't get a man open

it's not the ravens RB's that do the damage. they could lose them all and still have big rushing yardage. they use LJ as a runner as an offensive scheme. wait until we draft the kid from ole miss and we can too. :smiley1::cool:

Yes, Lamar has 193 yards rushing -- more than the Steelers have as a team. However, take away Lamar's rushing yards and the Ravens still have 247 rushing yards as a team. That's almost DOUBLE what the Steelers have despite the Steelers having 1st round pick all-pro stud Najee Harris and the Ravens starting guys who were working as Costco a month ago.

Steelers related is a fine line that Benny mastered. Can't get on board with the go Ravens threads.

I think nobody was complaining about coaching after we beat Buffalo.

To answer your question, on offense we still have no clue. Our "new" offense at best is a work in progress. Seems impossible to work up to a level to score 30 points a game. At least some of that is because Ben is old.

The big difference from game 1 to game 2 is defense. If we don`t have all our key starters out there, we can`t compete at a high level. Period.

That is true although how many games can you expect to win with an offense that struggles to score 17 points a game? The best defenses in NFL history can't keep a modern NFL team from scoring 16 or fewer points for 17 games a season...

this reminds me of the one about a guy walks into a bar and after a few drinks a guy asks him if he'd like to buy a parrot that sings Christmas carols. the guy says how does he do it? the bar tender says you get your lighter out and hold the flame under his right claw and he sings silent night. then the bar tender holds the lighter under his left claw and he sings jingle bells. the man then ask's what if you hold it in the middle and the parrots sang chet's nut's roasting on an open fire. :smiley1::cool:

Jackson doesn't just gain yards. Defenses have to account for him as a runner, which opens things up for the backs.
