While it's not a novel, this is what I'm currently reading through. It's a technical manual about all of the equipment used by the Colonial marines from Aliens. All kinds of tech specs about weapons, ships, protective gear, how units are formed, etc.

I just finished a book called “Imaginary Fried” by Stephen Chbosky. It’s not for everyone, but readers who enjoy supernatural epics like Swan Song by Robert McCammon or the Stand should find it entertaining. It’s a LONG book, and takes an interesting twist.

I was wanting to ask you if your book club had a certain book S.T.D..

It's called "Imperial Warlord" i believe. A book about a Chinese warlord named Cao Cao. (or some say Tao Tao)

    Author: Rafe de Crespigny

Edit: it's like $200+ in hard back if one can find it.
    Books are appreciating i guess.

I can't spend that much on a book, but I know others that do all the time

For those who like spy/special ops type of action fiction like Vince Flynn and Alex Berenson, I’ve gotten 3 books into the Gray Man series by Mark Greaney, and they’re fun books. Lots of action, and the main character is pretty well developed and human (not just a super killing machine).

Got the book when it had a huge buzz, read about 25 pages and thought what the hell do I want to read about a swamp girl. Started calling it where the crawdads suck. Kept seeing it in the top 5 list month after month and thought I better give it another try. Glad I did, probably in my top 10 of all time and I've read a ton of books. I sure fell in love with that swamp girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    And the killer is..................

Loved the early books by Alex Berenson. After the first book I emailed him and we had a nice conversation. Around 3rd or 4th in the series he stopped telling people to email him. John Wells was great but after book 8-9 I lost interest.

Alex became controversial during this covid epidemic.

Generally I read fiction WW2 stuff. Was happy to see my library has the book you mentioned and will be picking it up today. Looking forward to it.

Once again my tiny little tip of NJ escaped the storm. We just had a little rain and light winds. Now Philly 70 miles up the road took a bad beating.

I'll assume you finished Crawdads but best not talk about it on here. No spoilers.

Grisham one of my favorite of all time. I read 99% of his stuff. Around Grey Mountain he started to lose me. I even read his Theodore Boone books for YA. Now those were an easy read:)
