In Penei's Defense, he has never manned the Right Tackle side; High School or College. As I am sure you are aware, there are different methods in terms of foot discipline, hand placement, kick stepping and leverage for a Right Tackle than a Left One; hand placement being the biggest one. It will be a major learning curve for him for certain; doubly so if he is to be counted on to man that blind side.

If anything, Dan Moore's experience in playing both has really helped him out. My biggest question was his overall demeanor and consistency; showing flashes of both at Texas A&M but always left one wanting more. Glad that Adrian Klemm has begun coaching that aspect of play demeanor and hustle to Moore Jr and all of the Offensive Lineman. If anything, this Offensive Line is playing with a demeanor that has not been seen in some time.

just like humphrey being a left handed center. most don't know that and just wanted him drafted over another guy. moore though he played some right tackle has been pretty much a fixture on the left side for A&M. there was a reason they were the top line for two years in the SEC. moore was very good in the run game not leaving you wanting more. his part of leaving you wanting more came in the pass protection side, and that wasn't as bad as many think. i like the quote from klemm that say's he doesn't repeat mistakes. can we say that about okrafor?

I disagree about Moore. Moore's upside was not my biggest question heading into the draft. His lack of finishing plays with the aggressiveness to go with it was. In addition, as you stated, Moore has had experience playing both Tackle Positions; Sewell never having that to begin with. Much different in terms of accumulated experience overall.

That said and, regarding Creed Humphrey, while being left handed was a likely reason the Steelers did pass over him in favor of Green, I believe that the main reason is that Kendrick Green possesses the aggression, rage and desire that one cannot teach; something Adrian Klemm all the way up to Art Rooney II (albeit indirectly) were alluding to leading up to the draft. Humphrey will no doubt be a rock solid Offensive Center. That said and, historically, even dating back to the great Mike Webster, Steelers Centers have been notorious for having one hell of a mean streak with the desire to match that aggression.

Not saying Kendrick Green is a HOF Center but I would wager he will have a very good career.

pouncey wasn't known for overpowering people, his money came from hitting people at different levels in the run game. multiple targets. moore does that very very well. a player doesn't have to pancake guys on every down to be effective. mechanics and mistake free play won't wow the average fan, like the driving your guy to the ground , but it sure will make a coach and RB smile ear to ear.

Does paying him 30m/yr get us a Super Bowl in the next 4 years? Probably not.

Are we gonna win the Super Bowl this year? Probably not.

Never stated that Moore needs to either. All I was stating is that some plays he was not as aggressive as he could have been at Texas A&M and others he was at. Getting his 100% best was not a concern of mine when the team took him. How soon was the question that needed to be answered.

That's a weird nickname. Also will be hard to yell in the stadium. Where is the emphasis? MUUUUUTHeasy? muuuuTHEAsy? muuuuutheaSY?

    I'm not feeling it.

Maybe visitor side yells MUUUUUUTH and home side yells back EASY!!!

    I guess that could work.

You are entitled to your own opinions, but not your own facts. You don't know what a troll is. You don't understand football. You don't understand Watt's value to the Steelers. You don't understand how little impact the team's play against the Lions will have on contract negotiations with Watt. But hey, you know how to use the all caps button. Sure, it's improper English, I think we should all encourage the tiny victories for someone as limited as you.

no, i get you didn't mean that AQL, i was just giving a different perspective on the aggression thing. finesse can be quite effective as well, as long as it's technically sound. the aggression part was noticed when he was taking on cam heyward in practice. i think we have a gem here.

as per TJ, how long will he play at this level? are we talking this type of money for 5 years? that's a long time to keep at that level for an OLB. have any others done it that long at the same level here?
