as usual many players that looked pretty good in the first two games looked pretty average in game 3.

o-line: needs some modification. i thought green looked bad on several plays. turner looks good at times and not so good on others. okrafor is very average. dotson looked ok. moore looked pretty good but you could tell he wasn't comfortable on the right side yet. that could get better with reps. banner looked ok. as a unit there is work to be done.

wr's: a strong suite for us. a couple of decisions to be made as well.

RB's: they will go as the line goes. pass catching they look good. rushing, meh. TE play and o-line play needs to be better for this part to get better.

TE's: needs inprovement blocking. receiving one looks good, the other looks good sometimes.

QB's: we have 3. better then most teams.

    FB: why?

just as we thought O-Line will determine a lot.

    D-line: we are fine.

    OLB: we are fine.

ILB: top 2 will be fine. after that we are a work in progress still not bad.

CB: looks pretty good, with some depth.

S: not bad. killebrew and stiner would be my backups based on preseason. norwood ? do we have room?

    K: need i say more?

P: wish we had the guy from detroit. talk about flipping the field. both of ours looked OK.

    LS: consistent.

returner: decision to make. ray ray or sexton. both looked pretty good as receivers too.

Detroit deserves to have a good punter. They will really need him and need him a lot.

    Things I've learned this preseason:

    - Ballage is better than his career numbers
    - JuJu still the best WR on the roster
    - Ben's arm still attached
    - Ben's heir not on the roster

Ballage sure doesn't look like a 3.1 ypc guy.

Long term yes. Short term, if Ben looses time, it’s Moe, Larry or Curly.

Note: I like Curly for Dobbs, considering.

both backups moved the team. that's a good thing. 7's will come but 3's and good defense can win games. cowher proved that.

The returner and 5th R is interesting. Do they stay with Ray Ray, who shows flashes but really slowed toward the end of last year, or go with Sexton. They probably stay with Ray Ray, but I would try and find room for Sexton.

Sexton needs to make this roster. Ray Ray started the season on fire, and then looked shaky at the end of the season. Having an extra return guy on the roster would be a great thing. If Ray Ray goes down to injury or needs to be replaced due to poor play then you already have a guy on the roster. I also think Sexton may be a better receiver than Ray Ray.

I’m not sure what Ray Ray does well. He doesn’t return kicks well and he’s not a good WR. He’s had one big jet sweep run last yr. but he’s 11yds on 5 carries otherwise. I’m not certain Sextons better, but I’m willing to give him a shot.

o-line: I am not sure how I feel about these guys. Green has looked good and bad(some of the bad has been really bad) Ditto that for Turner. The rest have been pretty average IMO. Dan Moore does look like a solid prospect to me. I could see him taking over as starter at some point but probably not now.

    wr's: Solid group. Strong point

RB's: Ballage looks like a legit back. I think he has to be the number 2 going in. I think they want McFarland to be their change of pace guy. Im not sure he can be. I think Snell may be gone. I wouldnt be suprised if both Snell and Samuels go.

TE's: Muth looks good. Ebron.......looks like Ebron. I agree both need to improve their blocking. Muth can. Ebron is what he is.

QB's: we have 3. better then most teams. Agree

    FB: why? Double Agree....Why?

    D-line: we are fine. Agree

    OLB: we are fine. Agree

ILB: top 2 will be fine. after that we are a work in progress still not bad. Agree. Just hope for no injuries.

CB: I disagree here. I am very concerned about our CB situation. I do not get the love Pierre has been getting. I personally think he has been awful at times.

S: Not bad. Starters set. Hope for no injuries

K: need i say more? Set

P: Looks to me like Harvin won the gig.

    LS: consistent.

returner: decision to make. I would keep Ray Ray and Sexton

Come on how could you not like the trade from Detroit's side?

A 26 year old Golf, a 1st round pick in 2022, a 1st round pick in 2023, and a 3rd round pick in 2021 for a 33 year old average starting QB in Stafford?

I thought the trade was a no-brainer for Detroit.

Can't forget Shemp. He (whomever he is) won't even make the PS. Probably end up at Steelers Westworld.

We have seen WR in the past play lights out in pre..then never account for much after cut and go with another team, the opposite has been there as well. I know this year is this year, but you have to look long term as well. I believe next year 3 wr can become FA. If Sexton gives you the same production or better than Ray Ray than you have to consider keeping him, easily a PS grab. I would even say the same for Bussey in a lessor degree, likely cannot find room for him, but PS for sure.
