Another fight broke out yesterday between Green and Heyward during short yardage drills with Moore coming to help Green out and having to be separated.

This is going to continue because the vets don't want to get hurt in practice by rookies.

I wish we could turn up the temps here in WPA, it needs to be hotter, this would get the juices flowing.
    Practice hard and play harder.

Not arguing with you, but the bright lights don't come on until the season starts.

Not for Haskins unless Big Ben is injured. However, there is still time for Rudolph to redeem himself. He has to do so quickly though as Haksins has had another solid performance. Threw a pick today but had a touchdown as well.

Having Haskins limit those will be key.

The knock on Haskins is that he struggles in the regular season after looking very good in the pre-season. The bright lights don't come on until the regular season starts. We won't know if he's actually ready to captain this ship unless something bad happens in the regular season. Hope we don't find out.

i wonder if some of this is being our o-line coach instilling some aggression in his players as he said he wanted too. i'd like to see some aggression from these guys. we don't want vets hurt but we also need these guys to man up. get with the program cam. team build, not go through the motions. i like hungry players that take practice serious. practice like you play. cam should as well. no cheap shots but playing hard is a different animal. one we need this team to embrace.

Were the reps working out like that in practice that year, or was Jones only getting a lot of run in preseason games, when they could showcase him and hope some team would trade for him?

It is definitely a side effect of wanting the OLine to have an edge and attitude, to get after guys. You can't try to instill that type of mentality in a group and think it can be shut off based on the situation. When they were discussing Harris vs Bush in backs on backers I said there would be fights in camp because Klemm wants that edge and the Vets across the line would be more like this is camp stop trying to hurt guys. I agree with you Mac.

Mean Joe said Franco made everyone practice harder because he was going to the house every practice play.

I don’t recall but good point, we’ll see how the reps shake out when preseason games start.

I think Cam is the team rep, he was just repeating what the NFLPA told him.

I think they'd be dumb IMO not 2 let each get a start , and a finish. I think Mason is the better Qb, but I want the best one as a back up, and maybe future Qb....So They should all get a fair shake.
I argued this the other day with someone on YouTube. They said I didn't want Dobbs to be the better Qb.
I was like I'm a freaking Steelers fan...Why the Hell wouldn't I want the Best Qb ..whomever that might be:shrug:
    Made no sense 2 me.

How about he act like a leader and a guy who wants to see his team compete for a championship instead of telling them to stay away from practice.

And that is why the Immaculate Reception happened: Franco competed to the end of the play; following the ball.

From a book, Joe Paterno was asked by the Steelers what the difference between Lydell Mitchell and Franco. Paterno said, " Ask them to run through a wall, Mitchell will run as hard as he can to try to run through it. Franco would go up and examine the wall, find its weakest point, then run through that point."

One person making no sense doesn't mean Dobbs deserves as many snaps as Rudolph or Haskins. Rudolph has already beaten out Dobbs before. There is plenty of track record to show he is the better quarterback of the two. Haskins isn't that far removed from being a first-round pick. There is at least something in his resume that shows that he has the ability to develop into a good NFL quarterback.

The best reason for Dobbs to be in camp is if Haskins implodes. Then they would have a third-stringer who knows the system and might be able to make a few plays with his legs if he was forced into a game.

in other news..... demarkus acey and anthony coyle were released injured. acey with a torn acl, coyle with a shoulder. coyle was being groomed as the 4th center and the swiss army knife guy that could play any position across the line. most likely a couple of moves coming by the team.
