Let us hope there is. The timing of this is horrible. Not just him, what about how is wife and two sons would feel about it. A difficult situation all around.

Glad to hear he's doing well with it. I'm sure there'd be a video if he can't make it but I'd like to see him up there with DL one more time.

He tested positive for SARS-COV-2, has no symptoms, which means he doesn't have Covid-19.

I can't believe nobody knows this. Covid propaganda has been very effective.

Exactly. We've all been taught to conflate the two. HIV is not AIDS, SARS-COV-2 is not Covid-19.

And PCR tests with a Ct over 35 have a very, very high false positive rate, and we use 40+ in the US.

No mention of cycle thresholds, though. It means everything.

    https://www.idsociety.org/globalassets/idsa/public-health/covid-19/idsa-amp-statement.pdf

Only 9% of PCR positive tests at high Ct are finding more than remnants of past infection. That's a 91% false positive rate.

The next time the media screeches about "cases", divide that number by 10.

Higher CT counts would make sense since the samples need amplified a greater number of times to produce a detectable level. It also states that some but not all PCR tests include the CT information. They seem to summarize that CT numbers cannot be correlated at this time and "caution is advised" when trying to predict severity or transmissability. It doesn't seem any of the numbers can be taken as a certainty as of yet.

Like they say in this report, the culture tests are probably the best but too much involved for mass testing. I'm sure they are constantly working on making these tests better.

Lol, doubtful. This is how they spread panic-porn and try to get every man, woman, and child vaccinated. Christ, I've even seen calls to vaccinate pets.

    Had he been vaccinated?

Two people from my department have recently tested positive and both were vaccinated two month's ago. It's working pretty well.

Yes it is. Reports are that most people who get Covid that are vaccinated are showing mild symptoms.

They work very well, but the facts keep getting lost in the media and social media noise. I saw a stat in the past day or two that data shows that a person is 25x less likely to die from COVID if vaccinated vs. unvaccinated.

Mild symptoms is a pretty vague term. So is "most people". Not to mention the fact that the "vaccine", by it's very definition, is supposed to provide immunity to the disease. Which, by your own admission, it isn't doing. But, I understand that your membership card could be revoked without your undying devotion to to this infallible miracle of modern medicine. So good for you man, you're vaccinated and totally safe, right? I'm truly happy that your troubles are over.
