Imagine disciplining your kid at the dinner table and instead of a "yes sir", he rattles off a joke.

He gave AB too much rope, too, until he went over the cliff. Should have been jettisoned the offseason after Facebook Live.

 

In hindsight possibly. But if it had happened this board would have lit up with FTI posts.

 

Lord, I hope so. Thing is, him playing lights out this season will get him a pass on all this. And winning games will make most forget about the offseason bs...until next offseason.

 

If he doesn't play lights out , it will be brought up numerous times here on the board.

 

...but only with rational thought given in the spirit of unity and togetherness, as always.

 

So tired of these selfish attention divas that have been created as a result of social media. I hope we aren't seeing AB 2.0 here. At least AB was able to back it up with stats. Hopefully someone steps up in the locker room and puts an end to these bs childish distractions.

 

Yep. I mean, we've dealt with diva behavior before. Every team has. It's not social media that does it. But social media really ramps it up. And AB kind of caught us off guard. He was freakin' AB for crying out loud. The best receiver in the game. So his temper tantrums and locker room behavior were just part of the package. I remember thinking that if throwing water coolers was part of his production, then let's get more water coolers. But when his antics began to cast a shadow on his on-field contributions, and the team wasn't actually benefiting as much from his abilities, then the wheels began to come off.

For Bush, he doesn't get a pass. He needs to shut up or be shut up. When we can't live without him, then we put up with his behavior. But for now, someone needs to muzzle that dog.

 

No I fully expect some whining fan will continue to harp on it for the full season even calling for a fan boycott and 23 glossy photographs with the description on the back with the circles and arrows of the other teams painted grass no matter what happens.
