Lot of them are Dallas Cowboys fans though so even they probably think Prescott is better.

I personally know 6 Cowboy fans that think Prescott is way overrated, and they hate that he was over paid.
If you lived where I now live you would know some also.
Of course every fan of him will now make excuses about how they can't keep a team around him now. Like he didn't have anything 2 do with that.
IMO. Romo was 5x better than Dak, but I watched Dak his entire college career. SEC, and watched Zekk carry him in his best years as a pro.
I remember when they beat us his fans were like you see how good he is.
LoL. Yeah I seen that 5 yard dump off that Zeke carried 2 the house.
Even that last drive people (his fans were say) you see Daks last TD winning drive. LOL. As Zeke runs for a 40 yard TD.
    People Opinion differ.
His detractors will say ....did you see be4 he got hurt he was in the Top 3 in turnovers.
His fans say did you see all the yards he threw for in those losses.
    So...
I know for a fact a lot of Cowboys fans don't think hes all that.

Being overpaid is a far cry from being less capable than Mason Rudolph.

Edit: Comparing Dak to MR career stats (Dak first, MR second):

    Record: 42-27, 5-4
    Completion %: 66.0, 61.7
    TD:INT : 106:40, 15:10
    Passer rating: 97.3, 82.7
    Yds/Att: 7.7, 6.4
Adjusted Net Yds/Att: 7.00/5.28 (this takes INTs, TDs, and sacks into account)

There isn't any objective reason to think MR is better. Dak wins more, throws more TDs, less INTs, and completes more passes for more yds. Basically, any way you slice it Dak has been much better even though he's played on a lesser team.

I doubt even they are clueless enough to take him over Prescott.

Great comparisons. 9 games versus 69 games
Hmm ...??? I wonder could I go find a 9 game stretch were Dak has less favorable stats than Rudolph??
Yes I could, but that maybe dumb.
Just like it could be not so smart comparing 69 games versus 9 .
Also did Dak get thrust into starting in the middle of a game as his 1st loss in that whole 9 game comparison?
Did Dak have one of the top Rbs most of his Pro career???
Hmm... Daks 1st season his RB. goes for over 1630 yards rushing 15 TDs, and over 300 rec and a TD.
Wait did Dak have a Rb that lead the league in rushing...not once, but twice???
Also after zeke got injured another year he didn't lead the league, but he lead from the time he was back from injury 2 the end of the season.
So Daks RB... almost for 3 years lead the league in rushing, and for sure lead the league in 2 of those years.
Surely that doesn't have any influence on Daks wins or stats.:hmm:
Did Mason have any of that??? In his whole 9 games.

And yet 9 games is enough for you to determine Rudolph is better than Dak.

Wow. You are actually doubling down on this foolishness? Hell, why not try to argue that Rudolph better than Brady, too, while you are at it? Brady has had so many more games. If only Rudolph got to play that many games in the NFL!

I remember when Zeke was suspended for a while and how did the girls do during that time? Don't know but I am remembering it wasn't too good. At that time I was hearing how without Zeke, Zak was exposed. Maybe someone has a better memory about this. Hard to compare a multiyear starter to a back up QB that gets thrown in by necessity and not a designated starter from game 1 on. You can try and make the comparison but I think its inconclusive at best. I still don't know what to think about MR at this point but one day he may get a chance with 1st team offensive personnel and play calling that makes sense for him. What would be interesting is if Dak was behind BB and we did the same comparison with MR at Dallas (if he was the starter). We'll never know but I don't think Daks stats would be all that different than MRs is now. JMO>

At worst, Prescott is an average NFL starting quarterback. That marks him as vastly superior to Rudolph. Maybe something changes that in they future, but it is comical to argue otherwise based on the information we have now.

Every Dallas QB suffers from the Staubach syndrome, including Troy Aikman, even though he has more Lombardi Trophies. But, Staubach's teams were in five SB's, winning two and losing three (he was a back up in one). Dan White played in his shadow....so did Romo. Out of all of Dallas' QB's, Roger is still the gold standard. Aikman was better than just a game manager, but he was on some pretty stacked teams on both sides of the ball. I think Prescott is likely a slightly above average starter. How good he is post injury and having the big contract is anyone's guess. I honestly believe Prescott would be a better QB with a different franchise. Having to play for Jerry Jones and the BS atmosphere is a hindrance in my opinion.

That aside, I view Rudolph's future based on the Steelers actions regarding him, not what they say about him. I know he's a long shot, but why sign Haskins? Why extend Rudolph for just one year? Why bring Ben back even at a reduced salary? I think the Steelers view Rudolph much the same way as the fans. He has some ability, but are unsure if he's the future QB. That's why I think they will continue looking for a potential starter, either via FA or the draft. My personal opinion is that he can be a solid, career back up. I think he has an average NFL arm, but I don't think he has the ability to throw receivers open, or to fit the ball in tight spaces on time. His pocket presence is questionable and he seems to get happy feet early in his progressions. One thing I do like about him is his ability to throw deep with accuracy. Just like any other QB, there's no question that he'd be more productive with a solid running game, which he hasn't had the benefit of having yet. So, in my opinion, he is not the long term answer as the Steelers starting QB.

Just curious..did you read the rest , or stopped there??
The rest is what IMO determines that I think hes better. Plus their College game tape.
The 9 games that ...one he was thrust into with no knowledge that he'd be playing was just the start.

It's funny. I also have quite a few friends that are Cowboy fans. None of them seem to like Dak.

I would say Dak is an average to slightly above average NFL starter. Based on what I have seen so far, I would say Mason Rudolph is a average to slightly above average NFL backup. There is a huge difference between the two.

Oh my gosh...see I'm not the only one who knows Dallas fans that don't like, or think Daks all that.
Also ...see you have Your opinion, and I have mine.
It is totally ok not 2 agree.
I will not call you a dummy because you don't agree, or suggest you stop.

Not for nothing but half this board doesn’t like Ben. Doesn’t really mean anything if Cowboy fans don’t like or think Dak is any good.

I was joking with the stop stuff, thats why the laughing emoji, didn’t mean any offense by it. I do find it hard top believe you think Rudolph is better than Dak, I think there is some fandom coming through there, you hate Dallas and Cleveland so by extension all their players suck. While I think Baker is probably overrated, he too is much better than Rudolph.

We’ll have to wait for the answer on this one but I bet you that Rudolph will never be more than a BU QB.

Sure everyone can have their own opinion, but when you’re saying something that’s widely considered incorrect people are going to have something to say about it.

Opposite here. Most of the Cowboy fans I know thought Romo was a top 3 QB in the league. It used to drive me crazy.

As odd as my logic might be, I didn't think very highly or Romo, either. But, if I had to pick either Prescott or Romo to win one game, I'd take Romo. I think of the two, Romo is mentally tougher. Romo would get in to trouble when he tried to do too much.......kind of like Ben.

My friend. I dont care if others disagree, or say something about it.
    Truly.
I don't like if someone says something in a way I know for a fact they would be a lot nicer about in real life, or if we were face 2 face.
I don't mind attacking my opinions, don't attack me.
