Loved that but in the NFL that's an injury waiting to happen.

I agree but most fans like the sexy pick, QB's, RB's and WR's. A great center starts every offensive play. We gonna be needing one.

Horrible team building, but that's what they'll do, of course. If they get 60 games out of him I'll be surprised.

I agree he was the bpa , yes we need ol help, secondary help and lb help but when a skill position like this falls to you, you have to take it. Plus I am of the belief that OL can be filled with picks in the 3rd-6th rounds with NFL ready talent. I would like to see us grab a stud LB in the next round of maybe one of the centers of they are still available.

My God, are they intentionally trying to ruin that franchise? They've butchered nearly every first round pick since Gruden/Mayock took over. Total clown show.

Great pick. Now let’s get an OL and TE with our next two pics.

Basically, any starter that has a career arc in Pittsburgh longer than 5 years. The Steelers drafted an immediate starter in round 1. That reeks of desperation.

He also plays the position that sustains the most contact/injuries, so if they don't seriously upgrade the OL the next two days, all of their eggs are in one basket.

Define "explosive". 8 runs of 20+ yards on that Bama team last year, long of 53. Next highest was 42. He's basically a Le'Veon Bell clone.

AL had the best OL in the nation and a deadly array of weapons at WR to keep defenders out of the box.

Can you identify two things from the previous sentence that the 2021 Pittsburgh Steelers do not have?

Man I went back again to highlight tapes with him and Etienne...

What stood out was most of the "highlights" for Travis came against Citadel, Wake Forrest, BC, Syracuse, Virginia and Miami. And most were him just having that speed. There were none against Alabama for instance.

Harris on the other hand most of his came on the big stages against the top teams. Plus he got faster last year than the previous year with no off-season...

So you are saying we should get rid of Ben?

Don’t worry, that will happen around the third game.

Reaching for a O Lineman in the 1st would not be smart. The best one has knees like frayed dental floss. The draft is deep with O Lineman. Need to address the center position with pick 55. Then its open season to fill some holes.

I did more research on Harris as well as Etienne. Both would have been solid additions to a porous running attack.

Welcome Najee Harris to the Pittsburgh Steelers. I wonder if he will wear #32? Franco would approve, this is the guy he wanted.

The O Line will be fine, they will finally take run blocking serious again after 3 years of being a bottom feeder in the running attack.

it looked like every DB was faster than him. I didn't see any highlight that showed him breaking a long run.

People need to quit crying about how Najee won’t fit with Ben’s style. This is Ben’s last year anyway.

No crystal balls here, but this dude’s ceiling very well could be Derrick Henry, who, IMHO, is currently the best back in the game. We will need to be patient and don’t call Najee a bust after season 1. It took a few years for Henry to get going. Now that beast is an absolute truck and makes weekly highlights.

    Najee: 6’2” & 229
    Henry: 6’3”. & 238

I am absolutely drooling over this kid. Welcome to the ‘Burgh Najee. LFG!

I love it! The offense is going to be lethal. If they can grab a decent lineman or two, we should be good to go. This move is going to be strong for 2022 when the Steelers have a ton more money, too.

Harris is more Bell 2.0 than Henry 2.0 and I’m not saying that’s bad.

Last time we went "sexy" in the draft.... it didn't turn out too well with Mendenhall being the only pick that panned out. A boring pick like OL would have been better, IMO.

Harris looks really good, but a lot of Alabama RB's have looked good over the years but didn't live up to expectations. That system makes all their RB's look very good.

The offense will not be lethal unless there is major improvement on the O-line. It all starts up front. Harris, Claypool, JuJu won't mean squat if line can't block consistently.

Ok, im over it. My blood alcohol levels are back to normal. There was some rage last night.

I like him but would've rather had Travis(if they were gonna go rb in the 1st, which I was completely against).

That being said, he seems like a nice kid. A high character guy. And we'll see what he's got.

He is a good RB this year was a good year to pick a RB I had the top 3 with high 1st. round grades..I wanted Etienne over him as well , but the staff and the Coaches got to interview with both guys so I will support their decision,,

Who did you want at 24 of the guys on the board at that time..
