ESPN is/and has been a total Clown show...Any loud mouth/trouble maker from the past they take...They must think people watching want to watch the Hosts scream and talk over each other...Maybe the younger crowd is into that, not me!

 

That's why I DVR them and go back and just watch our pick, and if they talk about him.

First draft I've watched in maybe 10 years (or whenever they went to the 30 minute rounds), I watched stupid hype for about 10 minutes and went outside to mow. Came back in they were just on the 3rd pick. Gave up for good after that.

Agree. When the held it in Philadelphia it was all I heard on the news for weeks. It was like the Super Bowl for the city. Although, to be fair, the city government was really happy about the $$$$ it brought in for the city.

For the first time ever I didn't watch a single minute of network coverage. Instead, I watched pff.com's live stream. Zero sizzle, all steak. Absolutely no camera coverage of the draft itself, just 100% hard-core, pure football talk from their modest studio. They were also getting the picks a couple minutes before the networks showed them, judging from the text chain I was on.

Also, the only commercials, which were few and far between, were for their service, so no politics/SJW nonsense.

 

I love watching the draft and especially Kiper. The guy just cracks me up. Agree, disagree, or whatever, but he's entertaining cause he takes the draft so ridiculously serious. He's also not afraid to just say what he thinks. The guys on the NFL Network have to be a little more guarded because, well...they're working for the NFL.

You've gotta give Kiper this much, he invented an entire industry. He was the first person to start selling draft and scouting guides to the public. If it wasn't for him the draft wouldn't have become what it's become. I believe that he started putting together draft reports when in high school and sent some to Ernie Arcosi, the GM of the Colts at the time. Arcosi loved them and told a young Mel that he needed stop giving the info away and start selling it to fans. The rest is history as they say.
