For those who are interested and want to see what the Steelers may have to choose from, here are the rules:

    Part I:

1.You may make the selection for the NFL team that is on the clock.
2.You may not make consecutive selections, unless there has been a two-hour lapse between the picks.
3.Consecutive picks cannot be made from the hours of 12 AM and 8 AM Eastern time.
    4. Trades cannot be made. If an NFL team makes a trade, I will update the draft order, unless that draft slot has already been selected.

    Part II - Steelers pick

    1. When we get to the Steelers pick, we will make nominations for the pick.
    2. A draft prospect must receive two nominations to be on the ballot.
    3. You may only nominate or second a nomination of one player.
    4. Once five nominations and seconds are made, the nominations will be closed and voting will begin.
    5. Voting will take place for 24 hours. If a prospect has not received a majority of the votes, there will be a run-off of the top two vote getters.

I hope the draftniks participate and enjoy this. I have made the first selection.

Are we not doing an official board draft this year? I know NY hasnt been on in a while. I would be willing to help if the mods need a hand getting this going. Let me know.

No one replied to the other thread. So far it’s just 5 of us. There’s no NY this year, haven’t seen Elvis in a long time and don’t think TTF is around enough to commit to it.

I’ll put a sticky on this forum and the main but not sure we’ll have the turnout this year. We’ve usually started by now, if we get enough people we can do a 3 round mock and if there is anymore time left, we can take it round by round.

I’m the meantime, this version of the mock is a good idea.

With the third pick in the draft, the San Francisco 49ers select, um, someone help me, we going with Trey Lance or Justin Fields? I favor Lance, especially since it looks like they're going to keep Garopolo around for another year. First person to help me out gets the vote. And screw the people saying Mac Jones. They could have had him for a second or nothing, not three firsts.

No help here. That is why I haven't made the selection. Some mocks have Fields going to the Niners, others Lance.

If it plays out this way, the Falcons are either going to plan for the future with Lance or going to get a boatload of picks for #4. Their biggest need is a pass rush, and the only people besides Lance worth taking here are Sewell, Pitts, or one of the receivers.

While pairing Tua with his old receiver makes sense, Chase is a tad faster.

The Dolphins select Ja'Marr Chase, WR, LSU.

With the seventh pick, the Lions in need of a wide receiver, draft tight end, Kyle Pitts of Florida. Pitts is a player that if he falls out of the top ten the Steelers should consider trading up.

Ugh, I’m sorry Detroit. The Lions are my team in the other fantasy mock and would not have allowed this to happen :lolol:

They just spent a top 10 draft pick on TJ Hockenson, have rookie Hunter Bryant and also Alinze Mack. I doubt they spend another top 10 pick on a TE again, even for Pitts.

Hockenson and Pitts make for one hell of a 1-2 punch, and isn't out of the question.. better move would've been devonta smith, but solid either way

I feel top 10 picks are far too valuable to spend on TE’s.
