PFT: 2021 Salary Cap will be $180M

Plenty of ways to make space still, but all of them involve kicking money in to the future via restructures or backloaded contracts.

Next few days are going to be wild across the league.

 

I am not as worried with some back loading as the cap should expand quite a bit with the new TV deal, would love to see them get TJ's deal done.

 

That 6 million covers rookies and a few other expenses, the extra will take care of itself, but compared to some other teams in decent shape.

finney's contract to come out of that yet. need the rookies signed and the practice squad out of that and carry 3 mil. into the season for injuries. we still have a ways to go before we start making any signings of real standings. so far we have added some place holders. yes there is a concern for pushing this money down the road and saying well the cap should rise. it still adds dead money and you still have to fill those spots. we will be needing to fill high priced spots as well. QB(3), watt(?) and minka 5th year option(9 mil.?), if you do a redo for tuitt as well, he and cam could cost around 36 mil. next year between them. again the dead money and these contracts will eat the heck out of all the money we think we have.
