I am cleaning out my dad's basement and found this autographed ball. I have no idea who this is, and my dad has passed (diehard Steelers fan until the age of 85) football.jpg dadsteeler.jpg . Can someone help me out here? Thanks!

Sorry for your loss. Prayers for you and your family.

I have no idea, but it sure looks like "Green" to me. HIGHLY doubt it's Joe. Maybe Eric?

Thank you for the kind words. I have to say, in the end, my dad would perk up whenever he saw someone wearing a Steelers jersey. He had Alzheimer's, but always could talk about his team. Even though he couldn't recognize me at times.... he truly loved them.

Now that you mention it, it does look like Green...getting somewhere... :)

Wow, you guys are good! Now that I look at the signature, I can almost see an '86' worked in to it. Also found these if any of you are interested.....all Steelers cards, 63 total. :)

I thought LC too, at first. But the 86 in the signature pretty much points to Eric Green.
I’m sure the owner would prefer a Lc signed ball to an Eric Green signed one, and since LCs number was 68, I hope for the owners sake LC was Dyslexic.

Thought that for a second as well, but like @AFan noted, the '86' seems to stand out. Also trying to figure if the 'L' at the bottom is accidental or has a meaning.

My condolences on the loss of your dad.

My vote is for LC Greenwood. Definitely looks like his signature.

I have no idea how anyone could make LC Greenwood out of that signature outside of just comparing to other signed stuff that he had.

I lost my father to Alzheimer's 2 years ago as well. It is so hard to see a loved one diminish from that disease. Sorry for your loss.

Didn't think there was any chance that was LC's sig until you posted that card. Looks like a match to me.

You must have taken the famous celebrity stars chicken scratch autograph 101 course because I still would never be able to make out a single cursive letter that would add up to LC Greenwood even after staring at that for a 1/2 hour.

I agree that it does look like the same jibber jabber found on his playing card so I believe it to be a match.

Janette should take it to Canton and stuff it in the NFL HOF Steelers section where it rightfully belongs.
