Coaches need fired period. I don’t see anyway that you can justify bringing back not one single person on this entire coaching staff of Coach Randy, Keith Butler, Bazooka Joe Danny Smith, and Shawn Sarrett on the o- line if they somehow lose this game. This would be an absolutely horrific loss losing to a team that hasn’t made the playoffs in 18 years. This would also be Mike Tomlin’s 4th late season meltdown for the most part in the last 4 seasons if you wanna count the 2017 playoff loss to the Jags as well as the last two seasons where they fell apart in late December when they were 7-2-1 in 2018 and lost 4 of their last 6 games and 8-5 in 2019 and lost their last 3 games to finish 8-8.

So the bottom line is heads need to roll and roll immediately if they lose to the Browns on Sunday. And I won’t go as far as to say Tomlin should be fired but he most definitely needs to be on an extreme hot seat as well if this team who started out 11-0 this season finishes the season losing 5 of its last 6 games and goes one and done in the playoffs.

I'd probably add Ben to that list, too. Nobody would take a job with a 39-year old broken down QB.

First things first, though - I think we're going lay waste to this team. Mayfield had trouble with our 2nd team defense.

Tomlin didn't cause the injuries that sent us into a downward trend. Coaches are great when the players execute but when the players fail the coaches suck.

I do as well I feel very confident about winning this game based on the other day. If Mason can play well and throw for over 300 yards and the Steelers D without Watt Heyward and others can keep the Browns in check I like our chances with those guys back on D and a rested Ben at QB.

Boy, this is the damn truth. The offense - specifically the receivers - executed at an extremely high level the first 11 weeks and doing it consistently. They haven't for the most part of the last five weeks, so much so that Ben had to essentially become "Super Ben" to save the offense. If they can catch and get YAC, we'll be fine. The defense is very good, and having Spillane back will help, but the injuries to Bush and Dupree are tough.

Things seem to run smoother without Ben on Sunday, he's a big part of the problem too. Looks like he decides on what feels better for him instead of the team. 4 games in a row of useless dink and dink isn't right. Now the short game is pretty much ruined because of the overkill , teams know when its coming. Especially when you have moron Fichtner drawing up the plays the exact same way. Probably still using Windows 98 to come up with the play designs.

Can we at least play the game before we start firing everyone?

Have you just started following the Steelers? 12-4 and a first round loss with injuries galore against an up and coming Browns team. Nobody is getting the axe at the top level. Just stop the nonsense. If they lose, I won't be very happy but to think they are all going to be fired is laughable. This organization never has knee jerk reactions nor should they in this instance.

Agree, no one is going to get the ax. Yes, it would be inexcusable to lose to the Clowns when we nearly beat them with who was playing. All 4 of our captains weren't even there. IMO, if we lose it will be more of being outcoached where Cle makes adjustments from this past game and we don't or won't before or during the game. Coaches are supposed to orchestrate how we attach the other team, not renegade players with tenure. This is so frustrating because its a similar situation to the Jags game and with this team, history most definitely repeats itself. And, at this time of year, all teams are facing injuries or players not playing for one reason or another so lets stop with this ready made 'feel better about losing' excuse by pretending we're the only one with them. Limping into the playoffs being 1-4 over last 5 games, and very close to 0-5, I give us a 50-50 chance of winning this Sunday. Lets hope we can change history. Onward.

Every team has injuries. Every. Single. One.

When coaches set up their players to fail, it's hard to execute successfully. We ask LBs to cover WRs routinely. We ask Ebron to block DEs routinely. We ask a poor run blocking line to run block 8-9 man fronts routinely.

When they predictably fail, Tomlin and his lackeys say, "Execute better".

Teams figured out the offense and crowded the box. It took until halftime vs. Indy to counter those adjustments.

Do you two honestly expect the Steelers to make it through a season injury free?

It's amazing the people already preparing the injury defense for Coach Cliche. That being said, I know he's not going anywhere regardless but I would be livid if they didn't bounce staff.

Changes need made if you lose this game whether it’s coaches or players or a combination of both. As I mentioned before this would be the 4th straight season there was a collapse late in the year by the Steelers with the same coaching staff with Tomlin leading the way and a lot of the same players as well. You can’t just not make any changes if this happens yet again especially after starting 11-0 this year. I don’t care how things normally get handled within the organization with no knee jerk reactions ever being made. Changes need to be made and people should lose their jobs and there needs to be accountability from the Rooney’s and the front office.

I would not take the Browns for granted at all. They are a much improved team and a dangerous opponent. The Steelers are at home and should have enough, but I expect a really tough game.

Stopping the run will be crucial, everything good that the Browns do on offence revolves around the run. Kareem Hunt can also do a lot of damage with the underneath stuff. Steelers have struggled to stop that in recent weeks, Hines and McKissic got a tonne of easy yards this way.

Bottom line, Steelers have played one half of football since they returned after that Baltimore Covid debacle. They need to come out and execute on offence. If they do, I don’t see how the Browns score more than the Steelers.

No justification to bring back the DC that produced the 3rd ranked defense in the NFL? Would have probably been the #1 defense if he hadn't lost 2 starting LB's. Let's also not forget about last year. Maybe you can argue that Butler deserves a HC job but you definitely cannot argue that he should be fired.

Lets not act like he's some guru that is up an coming. Yes he has had 2 really good years 19-20 but look at the players they have. They have 8 first rounders starting, 1- 2nd, 1-3rd, and 1-6th. The really good coaches and coordinators get more out of less not just above avg performance with great talent. With the draft capital invested on this defense they should be top 3 every year anything out of the top 7 is under performing. Some DC's in the league would cut off their leg to have our talent on D. I'm much more in the camp of fire Tomlin, and Randy first but lets not act if anyone should be safe.
