Am I a bit stubborn? Yes.. and Happy New Year to you as well my friend.. I wished the Steelers would fix some of these things then I could move on to a new subject..In my defense I did stop pimping the we must have better DB's to make the pass rush thing .. When we got Haden and Minkah our pass rush took off so no need for me to keep pounding that table about that issue..So I can move on if only the Steelers will help me..By helping me they help themselves ...

Seriously, though, Butler has produced a top defense pretty consistently over the last few years, despite injuries to star players. I’ll call for Fitchner’s ouster long before Butler’s.

I never pimped a guy to convert to deep Safety who didn't have the basic skills to play the position..I understand that you and our DC dont think we can convert a guy to the FS spot, but the DC is making progress we did convert a Safety to a LB so I stll have hope...And yes my stance is still the same the position requires speed so draft 1 , but only 3 guys available this draft with enough speed or create one...Plenty of WR'S playing the wrong position in College with the speed to play the position..

We need to be able to play it and the fact is we cant so we need to do something .. It would be nice to be able to play it today..If I was the DC I would be able to play it today ...

 

But you’re not the DC. You’re just some fan who thinks he knows how to run the team better through the TV screen. It’s one thing to throw out some opinions on how you think things should be done (all fans do that)and a completely different thing to blab to everyone how much smarter you are than the professional coaches.
That fairly tale crap you float out there may have a chance to work in High school ball, but that nonsense isn’t the standard in the NFL. (Maybe in some rare situations)

 

Butler has been handed a loaded platter... Heyward, Tuiit, Alualu, Bud, Watt, Bush, Haden , Nelson, Edmunds

And they have played well...AS THEY SHOULD!
Fitchner granted...They haven't invested as much on the O...But C'mon, He has plenty enough talent to look to not look as bad as they do!

I am not a Butler fan given..... on average... the high picks he has on that D but I think this year was his best yet considering how many times the Pats beat the D up pretty consistently and made Blake Bortles look all world in that playoff loss.

If a simple fan like me could see the mismatches with these LBs on athletic TEs or even WRs year after year without changes then I am def missing something why this is designed.

 

I remember the wife telling a story to her sisters about the time she went to a bridal shower and all the woman did was sit around and b!tch about the old men. Her and a girl I went to school with just sat there and listened. My wife said it was because the two of them didn't have any complaints. My reply was, "Not true. Whatever KB calls that makes guys wide open needs to stay in, and the one where 1 defender lines up against 2 receivers is a keeper too.
