I’m not sure on the probability thing there. It’s mainly difficult to beat a team 3 times because it’s rare to meet a team you swept in the playoffs.

I believe it’s only happened 21 times since the merger.

And from what I can gather, of those times, 17 have resulted in a 3 game sweep.

Who have they played? Have any of those teams gone on a similar type run before playing the Ravens or after? Are they beating playoffs teams or scrubs?

Believe we were last in 2005 also. Went 2 Cincinnati, Indy, Denver, & the SB. In everyone (I believe)we were picked 2 lose .So.... either we will or we won't win.... sweating who we play won't help a Damn. Again not trying 2 be an A hole. :drinks:

I don’t think we’ll beat anyone any time. That would be an odd thing to think, given the last few weeks.

I do think that the teams we potentially face are fairly even in challenge, so we get who we get.

KC has clinched a bye week and 1 seed. Irrelevant.

It’s about the Bills actually playing to win thus us possibly missing the Ravens rd 1. I never said Ben should play or it makes a difference in our game vs Cleveland for the 10th time.

I doubt we were underdogs vs Cincy and I know we were not vs Seattle. Denver I believe we were favored also. Indy was a great win but Manning had a lot of post season collapses. The point was we avoided Brady. You know that guy.

I’ll give you that the Ravens have benefited from the same weak schedule we have for sure.

Yea it’s something I don’t like either. I don’t like pretty much just conceding the 2 seed and letting the Bills do whatever they want. Tomlin simply has to coach better as well. Him not calling timeouts before the half in the Indy game the other day and then giving lame ass excuses about it afterwards just isn’t gonna cut it in the playoffs. Those kind of blunders just can’t happen and Tomlin had better clean them up and get his head out of his ass and figure out how to manage the clock. It’s ridiculous we still bring these kinds of things up with Tomlin seeing he has been here now going on 14 years. It’s flat out inexcusable what he did the other day.

In 2005 we were first team to win SB as a 6th seed. In 2008-9 we beat the Ravens 3 times on the way to 6th SB title. I do agree sweating who we play should not matter but I for one am thankful we didn't have to play Brady led Patriots our last two SB winning seasons.

I’m keeping up just fine. My point is that everyone knew Ben was going to sit long before Tomlin announced it. And all this worrying about who we play. If our team (and the fans) don’t have the a “bring on anyone” attitude, stop playing and stop watching.

There are no easy routes to winning in the NFL. Don't you pay attention to what happened in the NFL?

If the Steelers play well and limit mistakes they will have a chance to win regardless of the opposition. It they don't play well and make mistakes they will get bounced regardless of the opposition. It's that simple.

Agree with sitting as many as possible after very limited play time.
One exception, Connor Would not play a single minute!

No but there are easier ones and not starting with a red hot Baltimore team would be one of them.

And no crap if we make a lot of mistakes we will probably lose and if we play a flawless game we just might win! Come on man you sound like MT at the podium. All cliche BS we already know. Think deeper!

No, there are not easier ones. Keep believing that though. It's a mistake. It's like people watch this game for years and don't get it or learn anything. Obviously you don't pay attention or know the answers to the test. I gave you the answers and you don't believe. What to do?

The Ravens got a bunch of easy games at the end of the season.
