They waived him on Saturday to make room for an ilb. Apparently with the intent of bringing him back, but the jags claimed him.

Id assume that they will cut him after Sunday and he could end up back in Pittsburgh before long

If he is a warm body for the final week and no plans beyond that. He was on the PS all season right so they could have grabbed him anytime. I just figured he wasn't a long term plan. End of the season is usually when they do futures contracts and get guys for the 90 man roster.

At least he didn't die. Had no idea who you were talking about. Thought maybe he was ex player who may have passed away by the way it was worded.

I do not know how all this will pan out, but senseless for them to claim him unless they want him for their 90 man roster. He would not be available on the active roster this week because coming from a non active status he would need to clear covid protocol, as he was actually cut and then signed he would not clear before the game this week.

He’s been up and down through the year. Has played pretty well in the chances he’s gotten. Think he got 19-20 snaps a couple weeks back at lg.

That sucks, they could've used him for depth in the future.

That was a draft pick they were trying to develop, seems like a bad move by KC.

Yep, he was a draft pick in year two. Might have been needed next year when we lose a few.

Yes, This blows, especially if the Steelers were going to resign him and dress him for Sundays game so they could sit some other guys...

They should've cut Elliott or Samuels instead, no team was going to claim those scrubs.

We should be drafting 5 OL anyway.

I was worried he would be claimed. I don’t know why he was the guy to be waived. Especially after he looked good in limited snaps last week. Seems like a mistake, but what do I know? Hopefully we can get him back.

Blame the injuries to Boswell and the mounting injuries at ilb.

Like I stated I do not know exactly how PS is working this year. I do know you can protect a certain number of PS guys, but that can only be done so many times. As you said having to have 2 kickers on the 53 man roster, as well as the other injuries limits who they can have on the PS and those they can protect. Also having players coming back from IR makes the moves seem dizzying at times, but with the injury state of the OL a move like this just seems puzzling.

Marrone is a oline guy. Looks like bad news for the Steelers.

You maybe right, atleast 3 OL and hopefully mean/ornery OL that want to rip peoples heads off. We will need
this type of player going forward, We need to be able to run the ball to win consistently, and with Our qb situation going
forward will be that much more imoprtant.

Jags cleaned house today should be 50-50 on whether Gray is retained by the next staff or not. I'm betting no but who knows.
