I think it's over. Whatever it was that we had for 11 weeks is now gone.

I hate the term "don't make excuses" but the facts are this team looks tired, worn out, beat up, and depleted. It's not an excuse, it's just fact. Football players are some of the most regimented athletes in sports and between COVID protocols, the schedule changes, lack of rest, and injuries it's just all catching up to them. And before anyone says that all the teams have to go through this, no.....no one has dealt with more chaos in their schedules than the Steelers.

    It is what it is.

I'm seriously miffed at the defensive coordinator...Finley was showing he was a threat with his legs from the first quarter...they should have been spying him by the second and a linebacker should have been assigned specifically to him to make sure he remained contained within the pocket by the beginning of the third. They should have been running a lb at him like they do lamar jackson just in case he kept the ball. By the time they made the adjustment it was too late.

Missing our starting RB and ILB among many others in this game.

    Injuries derailed the season.

But it's really not out of character. There's been signs of this for a while and it's getting worse every week, not better. There's absolutely no signs of this getting better.

I just don't know why Ben was out there all game. He really should have had like 5 picks.

And I've completely had enough of Juju. I'm done with that idiot. Why is he dancing? They're not winning. They're not playing well. He's not playing well. What is there to dance for? It sure isn't for the team. It's for him and his brand only. It blows my mind that after everything that happened with AB, that Tomlin allows this **** to continue happening. Other teams see it and respond to it. If you don't think it matters, then you haven't played competitive sports. That **** matters in sports. that **** matters a lot

What does the schedule have to do with Ben not being able to throw a football anymore? Was his arm tired in the 1st quarter?

I agree that missing Bush, Williams and Spillane hurts, but we missed nothing with Conners out tonight

When I say I hate the saying I mean that I hate when say it, not that people have them. What is wrong with an excuse? An excuse could simply be they suck. Nothing wrong with listing reasons as to why they suck.

The crappy offense has worn out the D with these quick 3 and outs, they get too tired

Listing reasons they suck are good, but only if they lead to change. Otherwise it's just pointless whining.

Ben needs to hang it up. Tomlin needs to retire and take most of the coaching staff with him. Fresh blood is desperately needed.

There comes a time when there are too many injuries.

Sorry but that’s not an excuse and yes, you can add Ben to the list. He was a different QB prior to the Dallas game.

More to throwing the football than his arm. Look at his footwork, his mechanics, it's all sloppy. Exhaustion causes people to get sloppy with technique. Same could be said about the oline, the tackling, the reads....all looks sloppy which typically comes from either laziness (which I do not think they are), exhaustion (mental, physical, or both), or not knowing how to play. We know these guys know the right way to play, they did it for 10 weeks.

Highsmith should have one assignment: the quarterback.

Big Ben is finished it seems. DeForest Buckner is going to have a field day come next week as he easily one of the top Interior Defensive Lineman in the game. Given how the Offensive Tackles played though, Justin Houston might find the proverbial "Fountain of Youth". Add the fact that the Indianapolis Colts have arguably the best Offensive Line in all of football and next week is not looking to well for the Steelers.

Either way, I believe it is time that Kevin Colbert, Mike Tomlin and Art Rooney II bite the bullet come the 2021 NFL Draft; trade two 1s for either Wilson or Lance. I am not too certain that the team is going to last beyond the first round of the NFL playoffs anyways. Might as well begin the quick rebuild while the proverbial iron is hot.

Look at the season.. Honestly, we could have easily lost another 5 or 6 games if not for one or two plays breaking our way in those games. Yes, the team was playing much better earlier in the season, and what we are seeing now is garbage. But, any other year, this is probably a 9-7 or 10-6 team

There is no quick rebuild for this team. Way too many vets, too many contracts. This team mortgaged the future because they know when Ben's done they are going to have a few years before they are ready to win again. Cowher's team needed 3 losing seasons before it could produce a 2nd Super Bowl team.

My prediction is that once Ben goes, Colbert is right behind him, and so might Tomlin. Then Pouncy, Decastro, Heyward, and Haden.......Frankly anyone over the age of 30. Spend 3 years rebuilding the team.

None of this starts until Ben decides to retire though, Rooney won't force him out and he isn't going to force a new HC on a 40 year old QB.

It will be painful but the Steelers probably need 3-4 consecutive years of sub-6 win seasons to amass enough draft capital to properly rebuild.

A year like this is actually very bad in the long run since we've got no shot at a Superbowl but will have a crappy late round pick in each round of the draft.
