Only way the Steelers are going to the Super Bowl is if they buy tickets.

It's just a feeling, if the Saints lose and we lose then this thread is for not

The Saints game does matter, because then the chiefs would only have to lose either one of their last games to fall 1 game behind the steelers and not need a tiebreaker. Of course, the Steelers would need to win out

I already like him more than Mahomes. Hopefully the media doesn't ruin that any time soon.

Well, KC will win the tiebreak vs Pitt on common opponents.

So let's say Pitt wins out and goes 14-2. I suspect Pitt loses one to either Indy or @CLE, but last imagine they sweep.

KC would need to lose 2 out of 3, for Pitt to grab the #1 seed. A loss at NO is quite possible. But the last 2 games are ATL and Chargers at home. A dome team playing outside, and a SoCal team playing in cold weather. Also, the Chargers are almost certain to fire their coach and clean house. A classic run for the bus game. If KC is half the team I think they are, and they need those last 2, I'd be shocked if they didn't get them.

I couldn't care less about the 1 seed at this point. I'd like to see the Steelers run game improve enough to keep the D off the field and rested.... and our WRs learn how to catch the football again.

They are setting themselves up well for the future. Both the offense and the defense are loaded. Don’t overlook them

Hebert reminds me of a young Ben. Mahomes reminds me of a young Cam Newton.

I'm not nearly as pessimistic as many on this board, but I don't see the #1 seed being all that probable at this point. I think the priority needs to be securing the division, and then getting healthy so that we look like the team that we saw in the middle of the season again. That team could rise up and beat anybody.

I think this time pimplydan's words could appropriately be "they can no lose any more players."

Disagree. Steelers one loss is to WFT. So, if KC loses to Chargers and both are 14-2, then Steelers have better conference record.

Whereas if KC loses to Saints and both are 14-2, then the game that matters is the Bills game. They won, Steelers lost.

Given both those scenarios, Saints game doesn’t matter if the end with the same record.

It matters in this sense: If KC beat NO, they will pretty much force Pitt to win out to have a sniff of the #1 seed. KC would at worst be 13-3. 10-2 in conf. If the Steelers lose any one gane they'd be 13-3, also 10-2 in conf, but would lose the #1 seed on common opponents. Last weeks Bills game being the reason.

How come the post above says Nebraska Steel with the phrase after it?

You didn't read what I said. The Saints game does matter, because if the Chiefs lose another after that, they would finish the season at 13-3 and the Steelers at 14-2 if they win out. No tiebreakers needed
