They both have missed a game or two, but Jordan Berry has been the reason the opposing offenses don't work with a short field. Except when we go for it on 4th and 1 in the red zone and come away empty handed.

JUJU. Gets those tough yards when absolutely needed.

Both the players you listed do not play on offense.

It has to go to Ben. Despite all his issues and our offensive issues, it's not like anyone has shined. Claypool was looking good early, but he's done nothing for a while now.

While that is true, both haven't hurt our defense as much as our offense has.

In all fairness to Claypool, it helps if they play him. Why he only saw 3 snaps in the second half of the Bills game is beyond any wisdom that I have.

That is why some of us fans continue to have a problem with Mike Tomlin. He does some baffling bullsh*t and then tries to cover himself by saying he doesn't want the player to hit the rookie wall. I mean, what? :frustrated:

I agree with you, but still can't choose a player that's not performing, even if it isn't his fault.

I also don't understand Tomlin's BS. It's crazy the way he operates. He wants to prevent a rookie from hitting the rookie wall by not playing him. That's like saying I don't want my house to burn down so I'm not going to build it at all.

Whenever I see your avatar I always think Jack is just shaking his head in disgust watching today's NFL.

You got that right. Just the stories of his toughness on and off the field were insane. When he entered the league at barely 200 lbs. I think even 300+lb lineman feared him. I laugh at the fact that I am the same height and weight as him and I'm confident I could not be an NFL linebacker. (Okay, that and the fact that I am older than Tom Brady)

I'd be surprised if Lambert even wastes his time watching todays NFL. If he does he should call up Guinness Book of World records to see if he has broken the record for most amount of eye rolls.

JuJu is our most consistent offensive player. The rest have disappeared in at least 1 or 2 games.

Ben is the offensive MVP, because every other offensive player is replaceable. Pouncey might be second because Hassenhauer did not look good as his replacement.

No possible way Jordan Berry deserves to be a part of this conversation. I will admit that he has been punting better but he’s still way to inconsistent for my taste. And he’s all but incapable of pinning opponents inside the 5 yd line - granted that’s not easy to do but he almost never does it

Other than Ben, the offensive MVP belongs to the WR group. There’s no clear number 1. But they’ve each contributed. As they’ve struggled, so has the offense. When they dominate again, so will the offense.

If I had the time, I’d love to really dig into his stats. How many times he landed a punt inside the 10, what his gross & net were, both with tons of field (kick long to flip) and from about midfield (target-kicking), etc.

He’s having a good season, I grant you that. However, if I remember correctly the Steelers did release him in Sept to bring on Dustin Colquitt. By Oct, Colquitt was doing so poorly they had to bring back Berry. And since then, he’s most certainly been better. Point being, Steelers originally released him for a reason. Maybe that lit a fire under him.

He’s definitely a worthy Steelers punter, but no way in hell an MVP candidate. Not yet anyway. And stats to me, although important, it’s what you deliver when the games on the line that really matters.

JuJu can only run the routes assigned to him. He gets my vote.

Ben is the MVP imo and its not close. If JuJu (2nd place) misses time, we have several guys that can replace most of what he does.

Fichtner needs JuJu to run longer routes, how about 10-12 yards, instead of 5-7 yards.
