I think he still has some knee trouble????? As I said in another thread, would it be smarter to let those knees rest and unleash a deer in the headlights on the Bengals?????

Tomlin said that Bens knees are not a concern whatsoever afaik. If he can play then he absolutely should play.

I am a bit nervous of the Bengals but hopeful. If they can get to thanksgiving at 10-0 it would be some achievement

I think Popcorn tries to keep Boy Wonder Burrow on the bench, matriculating the ball slowly down the field with the running game. Conner could score twice if Ben lets him.

Play Ben and get AFC north win. Importance is always in this order:

    1. AFC North opponents
    2. AFC Division opponents
    3. NFL opponents
    4. Going undefeated - least important

in fact argument could be made to sit some starters the week of Jacksonville and use it as a bye week, since we got screwed earlier in the year. Dobbs or Mason should be able to beat Jags even on the road.

A lot of those 8-0 9-0 11-0 or whatever teams don’t fare well. I’m ok with losing sooner than later and hopefully being healthy

Not losing in the division is key. We should wipe up Jacksonville, cinci and be 10-0 in our house against our only true threat this year on Turkey day night. Hopefully fully healthy and I will like our chances then.

Ben needs pain, it tells him where the edge is and what he needs to cross it.

Winning the division is the most important. Ben plays.

Agree. The battle for the division may come down to division record if either the Steelers or Ravens slip against an Ohio team. Make sure it’s not us.

Yeah, I would never want them to give up on a game b/c of their record, but if they legitimately lost, I'd rather it be sooner than later.

If this wasn't a division and 4pm game I could see Ben resting.

You think he still has some knee trouble? People were saying to “rest” Heyward last week. People are silly.

When has Ben ever rested mid season? What makes you think that’s some sort of reality?

Yep. I hope we don't peak before the playoffs. A good ass-whooping involving Ben late in the season would shake him up. Defense should be good, been getting punched in the nose.

I think the issue isn't about resting Ben just for the sake of rest. How pissed will fans be if his knees are not 100% and they get further injured in this game. Of course, poor Mike Tomlin would be hung on this board.

Fans ***** about everything. Especially **** they have no knowledge of.
If you’re waiting for Ben’s knees to be 100% you may be waiting a while.

Fans and talking heads have no real knowledge of what’s going on for real. I’ll stick with the expert medical staff that’s evaluating Ben over the opinion of some know it all fans.

Before you posted in this thread, I thought I was on the wrong message board. At times I wonder which team some of the fans are watching.

I’m all about people having opinions, but jeez at some point you have to realize how ridiculous your opinions are.
