The Good - The Steelers must be a good team, since they didn't practice or game plan this week; Big Ben playing the second half; 59 yard FG! Timely roughing the passer call; Minkah Fitzpatrick. Playing the Cowboys, instead of any other team.

The bad - see ugly. Bud Dupree, run game, play calling.

The ugly: offensive game plan, special teams, defensive game plan.

    The good: 8-0

The bad: Still not putting a complete game together besides the Browns beat down which has as much to do with Baker sucking as anything else.

the ugly: every single phase of the coaching staff was flat out awful. Any decent team blows us out today.

    Good:
    8-0
On a day that certainly wasn’t their best showing they found a way to win.
JuJu is emerging as the #1, putting together some solid games.

    Bad and Ugly: Everything else.

We won, great. But what a fluster cuck of a game in all phases. I need to calm down and collect my thoughts on this embarrassing performance. How many posts on this board stating we shouldn't have any problems beating this poor excuse of a team? For now all I can say is thank you refs or we'd be 7-1. Other than congratulating ourselves for 8-0 for the first time, I will anxiously wait and see how many posters will say they were truly satisfied with what happened today. In summary, we won but sucked in doing it.

Good: somehow keep winning while playing terrible.

bad: defense without alualu is pretty bad. Cowboys had 150 rushing. Not a good trend.

ugly: my comments in the game thread. I’m pretty ashamed but I should be good for the rest of the season lol.

It’s a win that feels like a loss because of how bad Dallas is this year. Super Bowl champions don’t look how we did today, not even close.

Good news is we still have time to improve so I anxiously await next weekend.

It isn't just the absence of Alualu. They were already compensating for the loss of Bush, then they lost Hilton and Alualu. They are also missing their top reserve on the defensive line in Wormley.

Buggs was not effective today. Neither was Spillane. Mondeaux made one very good play, but that was about it. Those three are getting way too much playing time. I'm hoping we see a lot of Williamson and the return of Hilton next week. I'm assuming Alualu will miss at least one more game.

I will say losing Bush Tyson and Hilton all together is really killing our run D. Maybe this guy from the Jets can play?

Team can’t afford to lose starters, especially multiple.

This is where having that early bye is killer. We need some of these guys to heal up. Hilton’s shoulder must be pretty Fed up.

Yep. 3 weeks on the road and team psychology was poor IMO. Our guys lacked energy, focus and even seemed disinterested at times.

Give the opposition credit. They wanted the win bad and played better than they are.

All our sins are forgiven and forgotten if we look sharp in the next game.

The good: Ben - over 300 yards and 3 TDs with no interceptions. JuJu fighting for tough yards. Heyward. Minkah. The clock: 60 minutes. The record 8-0, giving up FGs instead of TDs.

The bad: couple drops by receivers, some of this is on Ben’s placement

The ugly: Warnings from my cardiologist. Special teams. Preparation. Execution. Adjustments. Stopping the run, Running the ball.

Scary part needless to say was when Ben went out and Ragarm Rudolph came in this guy is useless our future does not look bright unless they get a quarterback after Ben is done

    Good:
    Ben, as usual
Ju-Ju cathing the ball and being a tough runner.
Discipline. This one of those games we could have thrown away if we allowed a lack of discipline to extend drives........but we played smart!
    Berry

    Bad:
    Game plan
    Futchner
    Field Goal team

    Ugly:
Connor's demeanor when he is on the bench .... which was most of the day.
The run D has looked lack-luster lately.....let's hope it was game plan last week and an off day yesterday
    Al the dropped balls

    Unimpressive:
DJ This kid is beginning to look like trade bait. I decided to key on him to see if my gut feel was accurate. Here is what I saw:
    1. Early in the game, he ran straight out of bounds on a critical third down without even trying to get the needed yardage.
    2. Early in the game again, he made a half-assed attempt to catch a ball thrown slightly behind him on another critical third down.
    3. I think he runs sloppy routes and this is why he has a low target to catch ratio.

I used to be on that wagon but I am leaning more toward Futchner being the reason why MR looks bad. Quick hitting slants were open all day and MR can certainly make that throw but when he came in needing a couple simple completions to get into FG range, Futchner called the same two or three plays that he gave MR last year.

We were not prepared to play. How can our offense be so pitiful in the first quarter making the defense stay on the field getting wore out? Our OL cannot run block anymore apparently and Van Esche was unstoppable, same with Smith. I think we had 2 yards passing for most of the 1st qtr and 25 yards rushing in the 1st period. Even the announcers were making a point that a first time starting rookie had more rushing yards than our offense. Something is not right and I don't know what it is because this is a trend, not a first time occurrence. We won and that is great but we had a ton of help in doing so and that can't always be counted on. We need some answers to be able to run and stopping the run.

And by the way, what do you think of that decision to go for the 4th and 1 toward the end of the game vs kicking a fg and going up 8pts? They had been stuffing our runs up the gut and by God if we didn't try the same thing that didn't work again. I thought that was extremely dumb. JMO

The Good. That disaster is over and we escaped as still being undefeated. Ben is one tough dude. JUJU was incredibly reliable yet again. Cam Heyward stepped up when we needed it most. Boz with the 59 yard FG after missing the 54 yarder and movement on the line. Turnovers in our favor have been crucial in nearly every win and continues week in and week out.

The Bad. Geez, where to begin? ST's, Defensive Run game, Coaching, Coaching, Coaching. Every phase of this game the Steelers were unprepared. Hard not to see these typical Tomlin trap games. They happen every season and it's sickening to watch. This game shouldn't have even been close but once again they go and lay a 50 minute stinker.

The Ugly. Situational play calling especially on 3rd and 1 and 4th and 1. Not going for the FG to put us up by 8 because Tomlin doesn't trust his gut to have Boz try it from 38 yards or so. Danny Smith has been around this team too long if that is the case.

Side notes: This team scares nobody at 8-0. Bengals are going to come to town looking to make a statement and the Steelers better start performing better.

Congratulations in order. Big Ben with his 33rd 4th Qtr comeback. Ties Dan Marino for 5th place and one behind Johnny Unitas for 4th place. I thought I heard he moves to the top tying Drew Brees at 8 for most double digit 4th qtr comebacks. When the game is on the line Big Ben is at his best. Just wanted to give a big shout out for these accomplishments.

They did not have an early bye. They never had a bye. The players were practicing as late as Wednesday that week.
