    Hey steel_ben7.

Nice thought and probably has crossed the minds of a few here. Given that, way to early to crank-up the Playoff Generator machine on ESPN I believe it is. Again though, just to be able to have it be a thought at this point in the season is a good thing (smile).

Why? Because fans are fickle and usually impulsive. You go ahead and talk making the playoffs and seeding now and if we get blown out or just beaten by the Stains the posts about not having a chance to win the division or making the playoffs and firing Tomlin will spring up everywhere. Personally, I am more about where we are as a team right now and how we match up against our next opponent. Beyond that is fantasy and fairytales. But, if that is your thing, go for it.

So, if the NFL plays a regular schedule, travel wise, they'll then play the playoffs in a bubble because ....? Too dangerous? But for 17 weeks it was/ wasn't ok? Help me understand their rationale if that is possible. i think a few more things will have to have happen before they do something like that. I think that something will most likely end/postpone, or drastically alter the season at that point. I am more concerned about the Stains we're facing this Sunday then all the "what ifs" that usually don't happen.

I was just reading on Yahoo news something about the NFL would never do the bubble but there is talk of the SB being played a lot later. ?????????????????????????? Oh how I long for the good old NFL with fans in the stadium and not having to worry about changed schedules. I'm sure the NFL doesn't care about survivor/suicide polls but this season is making it harder.

Follow the money. The playoffs bring more ad revenue and are good for the brand. I think the NFL knows there will be positive cases and schedule disruption in the regular season and they're okay with that. They know we're clamoring for football.

But once the playoffs start, they can't delay/reschedule like they can when it doesn't matter as much. Having a good showing in the post season wraps up this goat roap of a season with a nice bow on it and will be remembered after the stench of 2020 fades away. The NFL can say, "Hey, we got through it and had a great culmination to a very difficult time. We thank all the teams and players an support personnel for all their efforts." Bla bla bla.

I am working on it. I had a lengthy Bell one ready to go and then come to find K.C. picked him up. Anyway, "treasure" the length of the "short one". It may be awhile for the next one of that length.

    Take care.

Well you can start thinking about seeding now a lot with the Titans and Ravens games coming up. If they win both of those games and get to 7-0 and let’s say the Chiefs lose in Buffalo tomorrow it would help their chances of getting homefield a great deal. Say what you want about it but it’s still very important and I will continue to focus on it each and every week. With this team being 5-0 now there is no way you can just sit back and ignore it and act like you don’t think about it all.

I think it’s time to officially start looking at getting the 1 seed over the Chiefs after these last two wins on the road at Tenn and at Balt. The Chiefs I think have 4 potential games left they could lose left on their schedule. They are at Las Vegas, at Tampa, at New Orleans, and at Miami. I don’t expect the Chiefs to lose them all but I think they will drop at least 1 of those 4 games. So that means right now the Steelers I think have to finish 15-1 to get the 1 seed over the Chiefs to avoid all kinds of potential tiebreakers and all that other crap if they both finish at 14-2.

#1 seed would be awesome. There are a million things that could derail the Steelers efforts though, injuries, Covid, bad officiating, etc. They have put themselves in a great position but lots of football to be played yet.

Some real banana skins on the schedule v Baltimore (again), Colts, @Cinci, @Browns and @Bills are all games I could see them losing with a bad call or a bad bounce or whatever.

I just don’t get this obsession on here with the Bengals potentially upsetting the Steelers. I mean they are a much better team this year with Joe Burrow at QB and aren’t a complete lay up but I just see no way they actually come into Heinz Field here in 2 weeks and upset the Steelers. And quite frankly if they did upset the Steelers it would be a complete disaster and a completely inexcusable loss.

There are a couple here with some sort of engorgement for Burrow.

    The Bengals are the Bengals.

I would not under look Burrow. He's had the Bengals competitive, in a lot of games. I am much more sold on him after 8 weeks than I ever have been with Baker Mayfield.

But with the Steelers record and talent you can't have let down games. The margin for error against KC is so little. They aren't going to lose at most maybe 1 or 2 games (if lucky) the rest of the way.

We can beat the Chiefs in Kansas City. In fact I like our chances better going in there with a chip on their shoulder rather than the fear of losing in front of jeh1856. Can you still purchase playoff tickets @jeh1856@jeh1856 ?

Steelers will lose one of the next 3 games vs Cowboys, Bengals and Jaguars. Might as well carve it in stone. Steelers will play down to 1 of those teams and get their asses handed to them.

I think it’s gonna take 15-1 to get homefield over the Chiefs in the AFC. I see the Chiefs maybe losing one more game out of those 4 games on the road I mentioned at Vegas, at Tampa, at New Orleans, or at Miami. I think they finish no worse then 14-2 so if you’re the Steelers that means you either better finish 15-1 or if you do finish 14-2 you better find someway to win the head to head tiebreaker.

I think when I passed on my regular season tickets I also passed on post season. I’d have a hard time getting my wife to go anyway. And NO I’m not taking you :smiley1:

In the event they had a home AFCC game, I might go scalp a ticket.

I think tiebreaker would be AFC Conference record since they had no head to head matchup. Losing to Vegas gave KC 1 loss in the AFC thus far.

Cowboys are terrible and have a 3rd string QB playing for them. His back up is from the Arena Football League. There is no way the Steelers should lose that game. On paper we destroy that team but we all know that never happens. It should be over by 3rd qtr though.

Bengals - we should be 8-0 by then and this is their Superbowl year in and year out. Bengals Oline is getting better but should be no match for our pass rush. Burrow will probably have a long day back there but will still put up points. This game should be close but I believe the Steelers still win.

Jaguars always give us fits but this year they are beyond terrible. Shouldn't even be close.

10-0 Steelers is not unreachable for this team. Steelers just have to just quit beating themselves from time to time during 4 qtrs..

I hope this year is different. I find it amazing the Steelers have yet to put together a complete game and are 7-0. The Browns game was the closest to complete, every other game... Steelers were slacking in at least 1 quarter or 2 on O and D.
