Saw Watt and Butler going at it pretty hard on the sideline at the end of the first half. Anyone have any insight on what was going on there?

don't know, but I was glad to see Butler getting on the D. They were playing like crap up until then.

It was tough to say but it definitely seemed like Watt was defending himself, kinda like "I did my job!"

I love Watts fire but being that heated up at a coach is never a great look.

I don't know, but I actually loved seeing that. Don't ask me why, but I like the passion I guess.

It was probably because Watt and Dupree wasn't keeping contain on those running plays.

They were getting gashed on on the ground on virtually every play at that stage, some frustration is understandable.

Tyson and Hilton were really missed...that made Bud and TJ's deployment much different.

We need a coach who isn’t willing to challenge our best players. All players need to b motivated at times.

I think Watt was telling Butler to put RayRay at FS and get Edmunds in the damn box to help stop the run...It seems are deep Safeties play like a oufielder at their first T ball game they are looking for 4 leaf clovers or something...

I saw it, can’t say what it was about but I believe it was after the Ravens TD. Maybe Butler was blaming him for a missed assignment. Watt was fired up but don’t think it was any big deal, not like he was in Butlers face screaming at him.

Heat of the moment, alpha dogs, happens sometimes. Don’t think we have to worry about Watt having an attitude problem.

My two cents same as during the game day thread Butler was upset about Bud not playing Jackson like he was supposed to and painting the whole defense. TJ took exception because when he was tasked with it he blew by the back and destroyed Jackson time and time again but guys behind him would break contain and leave their man. Tj is a competitor he isn't going to take that kind of ribbing and not respond.

Football is such an emotional heat of the moment game so its different IMHO.

I only once at work got into it with my boss. He attacked me verbally in front of some guys that report to me and my hands were shaking with adrenaline as if I wanted to fight right in the plant. lol

I just have a style of taking my guys to lunch and we discuss things one on one instead of me trying to slap him around in front of the other guys.

i have also seen the Production Manager be challenged and the other guys were watching to see if the Alpha guy will win the altercation and that is where a Manager has to respectfully hold his or her ground because the other guys take note and respect is either created or destroyed.

The Mike Ditka or Cowher style seems to not be acceptable in 2020 anyways.

Whatever Butler did to piss Watt off, it worked. They shut down the Ravens in the second half other than those two boneheaded 3rd and infinity floaters.

It’s called coaching. I wish the CHIN was down there, he could’ve fired up some people. Modern day players need to understand it’s called an ass chewin so get it right or get on sidelines! I LOVED IT, emotion what football is about!

It was clear early on that the game plan was to have Watt and Dupree focus 100% on attacking Jackson. It wasn't working ...........which is why they racked up 150+ yards rushing in the first half. They were both running at Jackson long after he handed the ball off which was wasting two of our best defensive players.

I think Watt was gently reminding Butler of it.

I just read a comment by Watt who remarked that it was "part of football."

I'm going to assume this is a reference to the old HALO YouTube series.

    Otherwise, knock it off. :stogie::rules::club::hi:

Not anymore. Not for a long time, and never religiously. But every now and then I'd check it out while deep in the YouTube rabbit hole.

    Ah... I see.

Still nice to see someone who remembers the good old days from Rooster Teeth. Sadly, RT is not the same as you remember them. Way too little continuity.
