It looks like Dotson will start at guard

Guess the plan is to see if Chuks can handle it then. Still worried about DeCastro though. Hopefully he can practice this week.

That said, albeit small, liked what I saw from Dotson. Did not seem too overwhelmed by either Dexter or Leonard Williams. Hopefully that can continue against the likes of Jurell Casey.

If DeCastro isn't ready to go then this makes sense. Having a completely new right side is far from ideal but at least they will get to learn and grow together.

Who is back up guard then, our swing man is out with a pec injury?

Dotson starting, my draft darkhorse. Love to see this guy pull a Lambert. Take his place as a starter from here on out.

Won't matter. I'm expecting the Steelers to blow out the Broncos regardless. I say they win by at least twenty.

Optimistic but the Broncos are severely banged up so it’s possible.

Doubt they wanted to put Dotson in to start this early but I’ll be intrigued to see how he does. Great opportunity for him and Chuks on that right side. It would worry me a lot if Miller was playing though.

Which guard would you replace permanently. Feiler or a healthy Decastro?

Move Feiler back to RT where he had a good season last year.

I doubt Ben is intrigued, scared maybe as should most who want Ben to make it past 2 games this year.

Yes, familiarity and trusting the guys on either side of you is huge. Having to put in two new starters as well as moving Feiler quite recently is not ideal at all but it is what it is. I hope they are up to the task.

we have a high priced FB, I'm sure they'll keep him in to help defend the rush.

I'm not real concerned about Dotson at guard to be honest. I think he'll be OK. I'm more worried about Chuks surprisingly enough and I'm not sure why.

I've heard this time Tomlin is only going to dress 37 players in the ultimate flex to show how much better we are @Roonatic@Roonatic

With Banner out for the season I think our best Line when healthy would be

    AV
    Wis
    Pouncy
    DD
    Feiler

Although Chuks will get a chance to win that RT spot if he plays well the next couple weeks assuming these guys are still hurt

Agree, I was disappointed that Wis was not going to get a shot at the starting guard position during camp when he was brought in

I think Feiler was the best RT we had on the team when camp started.

Does that prediction take the Tomlin factor into consideration?

That’s definitely the strongest looking line on paper. The team seems to be firm on keeping Feiler where he is for the moment however.
