Saw this coming after the game. Tomlin loves familiarity and continuity. Jerald Hawkins has both.

as much as I like Hawkins as a person, I can't say i'm thrilled with the signing...…… He was pretty much let go due to not being able to stay healthy himself and he's brought back because of injury...………… what am I missing here

Hawkins should have a bit of info on the Texans offense too. An added bonus that doesn't hurt.

 

Last I heard, they didn't actually have the MRI result yet, but they seem fairly certain his ACL is torn.

Man, that Banner injury sucks. I was rooting for the guy and you could tell the team knew how hard he had worked!

Dulac tweeted that as of 6:43 PM last night, the Steelers have not signed Hawkins. Hawkins' contract with the Texans was terminated shortly after that.

I don't know how the practice squad rules work. Is this just a matter of details or is there a possibility we don't sign him?
