I didn't expect McSorley to even make the Ravens roster. I thought he was overrated at Penn State and wasn't going to be in the NFL. That said, I watched him play in the preseason and to be honest he looked better than what I expected, in fact he looked to be pretty good. Now it is hard to say how good a QBs abilities are when playing against backups and guys that aren't going to make a roster but he looked better than what we have. I also think Rudolph isn't as bad as he is portrayed here, he got a bad start with no running game and an OC that really couldn't design an offense to help him. I don't think Mahomes would look good with Fichtner as the OC and we'd be wanting to trade him.

I am not a penn st expert however I did stay at a holiday inn express once..........with that said wasn't the knock on McSorley that his oline was trash and he took a beating after his freshman season?

I have no delusions about McSorley, but with the system the Ravens have he may be the perfect B/U for Lamar. They still have RG3 under contract, so likely he will be the 3rd again. He was always underestimated due to his size, but every place he played the team won. That is not saying the is NFL starter quality, but he just might have enough to make a decent living for a few years in that particular system of O.

I don't think McSorley is a guy you want starting for you in the NFL, but he could be a good backup for the Ravens. He really does fit their system well.

If Lynch is the future of the Steelers, then they're in deep doo doo.

Not to pick a fight with you but I think all the info we need on Lynch is in already. In my opinion he has shown he cannot cut it in the NFL. I believe the lack of a quality backup QB is the biggest issue facing the Steelers going into next year. I'm pretty sure you can stick a fork into Lynch.

I wonder what Ryan Leaf is up to. And, hey, Johnny Manziel fell off a cliff the other day.

I thought you might have been one of the Penn State fanboys who thinks a bit too highly of the guy. :)

I still think the biggest issue facing the Steelers in 2020 hasn't changed for the past few years and its not a BU QB. JMO

Us Penn State fanboys don’t even think he is an NFL starter. Personally, I’m not even optimistic about his backup potential.

There is a reason WHY the Steelers didnt pick up a QB. It has to be Either M. R. or Paxon
I like the Duck story but he is 3rd String/Practice Squad QB

Not exactly. You can possibly broach positive with PL because he hasn't sucked in a Steeler uniform yet.
