I think the next Steelers selection should be on the OL, RB or WR...

I agree that o-line or RB would be how I would go

Fair question. In terms of RB we may not be fully in value for pick range..

    Antonio Gibson
    Ke'Shawn Vaughn
    Eno Benjamin
    Darrynton Evans

They're the next 4 on my big board but tbf I'm struggling to vouch for their value for this pick

In terms of OL I still like Ben Bredeson

Steelers are now on the clock, I think I know who I'm going to vote for but don't wanna influence anyone yet.

would love to hear people throw out some possible names...

While I was all for RB at #49, I wouldn't take one here. Nobody we draft here are going to see the field with Conner, Samuels, Snell and Watt ahead of them.

I think it has to be a WR or OL with a lean to the line.

    Damien Lewis G LSU
    Ben Bredeson G Mich

    Nick Harris C Washington
    Saahdiq Charles OT LSU
    Hakeem Adeniji OL Kansas
    Charlie Heck T NC

for the offensive lineman....top two are generally rated higher

I like TE Harrison Bryant but don't think the need is there.

Don't like any of the WRs in this spot personally.

    RB

    Joshua Kelly UCLA
    Darrynton Evans App State
Antonio Gibson Memphis - kind of a WR more though, hybrid
    Lamical Perine Florida
    AJ Dillon BC

    QB Jake Fromm

Think I'm going O-Line here, value seems much greater imo.

I'm pushing all in on Nick Harris, C, Washington.

He's small but he will have time to develop behind Pouncey. Definitely some Jason Kelce to his game.

My vote goes to Ben Bredeson OG Michigan. Tough call between Damien Lewis, Nick Harris and Bredeson though.

Leaning o-line, because as people have said, doesn't look like the value is there for rb or wr.

I'm actually surprised that Fromm is still available.... He's basically Marcus Mariota

I’m bucking the trend and going with Fromm here. This is why: there are plenty of mid tier offensive linemen available at this point in the draft, but how many QBs are there available who could step in and guide an NFL offense as a low risk game manager? I don’t see Fromm as a potential franchise QB who can carry a team with his talent, but I think his floor is somewhere in the Andy Dalton or Brian Hoyer range, and I think he can play at nearly that level right away. I was dead set against Fromm when he was being discussed as a 1st round prospect, but he’s a great value here. Keep in mind that we pick again in just 11 picks. There are plenty of capable O linemen who will likely still be available at 135. Is there another QB available who has Fromm’s track record as a quality winning game manager against top competition for four years?

    Jake Fromm

Probably should have thought about that before we went defense with our first 2 picks no?

Well here are some names I like and to me just because we went defense the first 2 picks don't mean we have to go offense this one, we should have went offense with one of the 2 before. There are loads of NT available right now and while Blacklock is a good player how much is he gonna play vs how high he was picks and the value left. JMO here we go:

Fromm like SE said hard to believe he is still here.....this is imo the best value right now

Charles OT.....young fast and experienced but is a work in progress they say

Damien Lewis and Jonah Jackson OG, love Lewis and jackson has OG/C capabilities great fit for us imo.

OLB's Highsmith and Willekes both have looked very good and could be starting material next year...IMO

SAFETY Terrell Burgess, K'von Wallace and Brandon Jones(FS)......really like Burgess

RB Lemical Perine this kid has starter written all over him

CB Essang Bassey Small but ball hawk

These are my names look em up or don't but imo best value here is Fromm hands down however best value with need could be just about anyone here. I love an OLB but also am liking the flex of Jackson

I am sticking with BPA and that is TE Harrison Bryant out of Florida Atlantic. If Fichtner and BB do utilize two tight ends more, and when Ebron or McDonald get injured, Harrison Bryant will be able to be plugged in to keep the same offensive scheme, without much drop off.

Would your plan be to jettison Gentry after a redshirt season, or keep 4 TEs?

Gentry can go to practice squad. If the Steelers committed to running more two tight end sets and less 4 wide sets, I would keep four tight ends.

Here's an item on Fromm from PFF's draft guide. They counted only 28 turnover worthy plays in his entire career as a 3 year starter. They counted only 7 turnover worthy plays on 445 drop backs last year (I think I saw Mason Rudolph have 7 turnover worthy throws in a 2 game span last year). Yeah, I know PFF draws mixed reactions, even from me, but though those numbers are generated through subjective film review, they're impressive. Fromm is unlikely to ever be a star, but I can easily see his floor being a top 5 backup QB for the next 15 years, and probably be that good immediately. Playing in the SEC he averaged 26 TDs and 6 ints per season as a starter. That's value at Pick 124 for a team that had its season killed by sloppy QB play.

I had Fromm as my #1 player coming into 2019.

I thought as a freshman he showed everything needed to be a star. A true #1 pick. Then he got injured and had a mediocre 2018. 2019 he was all over the place. His TD/INT was pretty good but his ability to complete passes was noticeable. When his team needed him, he could not move the chains and Georgia had to find a way to win despite his poor play.

I dropped him way down in my rankings. Even with a questionable QBs situation with the Raiders I passed on him. He's value here for sure, but he has regressed so much since 2017 I think he is far behind even Rudolph At this point.

Think you are right, not seeing value at the other positions that won’t be there next rd. I almost took Fromm my last pick. Might be my vote, still looking at other players.

I didn’t vote defense last rd.
