Over or Under on Zach Gentry catching a pass against Cincinnati?

Could the next man up be Zach Gentry?

He has to be better than the players the Steelers are signing off the street; or at least more knowledgeable.

With all the holes in the offense right now, I would not be surprised to see Gentry play TE, FB & WR this week.

 

I'll say this about the young man, he has the look of one bad ass TE. I don't follow college ball but was told in addition to blocking he can catch. I was also told he was a meth dealer in Breaking Bad which I actually believed for about a second. I saw where he attended High School.

Likely two passes. Neither Vannett nor McDonald have shown much in the limited time they have been in. Perhaps Gentry will show something.

 

He'll probably catch a pass. Then immediately go down because Rudolph hung him out to dry with a lousy pass he had to lay out for

 

Ouch. Sad to say it's true. When he's missing passes I think I could make it starts to have me worried.

The other question is will he be slower that Jessie James? Will he run like a gazelle, or like a 3 legged mule?

 

That's why I'm shocked that MR doesn't use his TE's. Just throw up a lob and let the tallest guys on the field play above the rim.

Guy can throw a decent lob.

I would just be content if any of our TEs caught a pass. Especially, one that lead to sustaining a drive and/or result in some type of scoring. Preferably a TD. Vance's production is night and day from last season. I liked Vannett at first. He has also disappeared. I blame most of this on the coaching staff though and their lack of creativity and just straight up doing their jobs of...."coaching".
