    These trades better work out.
But I guess the Staff isn’t thinking about next season.

What do they care , they may not be here.

I get that. My shock is not from that. Every GM wants to win their division as that books them a ticket into the NFL Playoffs.

My shock and disbelief stems from the lengths Colbert is going to do so. Not saying I detest this move as I have already drawn my own conclusion of Grimble and it appears Zach Gentry is not ready. All I am stating is that both Colbert and Tomlin are pulling out all the stops this season.

If they’re gonna finally start holding players accountable and cut them, I’m all for that attitude.

    Unless Colbert is brilliant!

Isn’t there some quiet talks of CBA issues and maybe a work stoppage for next season?

5th rounder? Not too steep when you need a te.

Not a cap expert, but... what happens with the cap hit we're taking on 2020 for AB if he is suspended?

By the way: better Nick Vannett proves he's worth a costly 5th on a draft in which we are already shorthanded...

Alize is on the PS. Does not count towards the 53. That being said, I can imagine Alize being on there indicates someone will be moved later on in the season.

Part of Rudolph's maturity relies on confidence in his WRs.
Montcrief's time here is up, hope he finds a new team and opportunity, but he no longer belongs and should be cut.

No no no. It is not just the Fifth Round pick I am discussing. That alone is not even worth a topic. I am talking about the aggressive nature of Colbert this season.

From Devin Bush to Nick Vannett, this is unprecedented in the past 20 years for the Steelers. Trading up since 2003 to grab a defensive player was a shockwave in it of itself. To trade away the first round pick in; something not done by the team in the Super Bowl Era and since 1967 though?!?! Unreal!!!

Now, add this Nick Vannett trade. Again, I like the aggressive nature for certain. I am just shocked by it.

Oh I agree. Moncrief is likely out of here. That said, Alize is still a rookie though. I doubt he catapults all the way to the 53 by weeks end. As much as I would like it to happen, I just do not seeing it happen.... for now.

Side note; how have you been my man!! Have not seen my fellow writing buddy in some time!! Everything good?!?!

Isn’t he working on year to year deals now? Wonder if he already knows he’s leaving and doesn’t really care beyond this year because he’s not going to be here? I have no idea if that’s the case but you see that with some GM’s when they know their time is near.

He is! That was reported in the Pittsburgh Post Gazette I believe. I assume though that Dave Tepper, now owner of the Carolina Panthers, would like to have him. If that is the case, I wish Kevin nothing but the best.

Who to replace him?! A bit difficult although not entirely impossible. Either Omar Khan, the Vice President of Business and Football Administration or Brandon Hunt, the Director of Pro Scouting.

Of the two, Brandon Hunt has my vote. He is supposedly the favorite according to an article by The Athletic. However, too many unknowns at present.

    Colberts seat isn't remotely warm.

Vance is hurt, we all knew there was nothing behind him. Colbert had no choice but to make this trade.

We paid cash for Ozzie's fool proof plan to maximize the number of comp picks you get. That where all the Bell saving went.

More balls? It truly is noteworthy let alone head scratching... But what can we do to get some actual fundamental frigging coaching around here? Sign him sign everyone blah blah blah the scheme is ****!

If they follow Darth Hoodie's GM for dummies book I'm pretty sure they can parley some of the talent they have for more picks. If the fall out of the running for the division Davis, Burns, Sutton, Hargrave, Switzer, are rental guys a team looking for a late push might take. I'd say Dupree but no one is taking that cap hit for them.
