Melvin Gordon might not play, but they have some big receivers to deal with. The Steelers pass rush needs to show up this game, or Rivers will pick them apart, they need Watt to have one of those 2-3 sack games.

It’s prime time at home vs a winning team after a ugly loss...

Usually I’m pumped up but I just feel empty inside for whatever reason lol

You know what I feel exactly like Eli does here, maybe I’m depressed.

According to the Atomic TSF Web Clock - the game starts Saturday afternoon about 4pm Pittsburgh time. I'll also set my DVR for Sunday 8:20pm EST just to be sure. ;)

Lets just hope that Okie Phillis has 4 pick game and meltdown in his arsenal. I expect the Steelers to come out strong at home after a disappointing loss to the donkeys. Can't afford to have another slip up with the cheats and Orleans coming up back to back right around the corner.

Need a win for sure at home in prime time but we also need everyone to remain healthy.

They already aren't healthy. Tuitt, Gilbert, Burnett and McDonald are all hurt. Of that group, only Tuitt practiced at all Wednesday. I'm guessing he is the only one of those four who will play Sunday night.

IDK but I think the chargers are pretty meh .Who have they beat ?
We at least have one thing in common,we both lost to Denver but ours was far from getting beat by Denver
I think we roll in prime time , like usual

The best team they have beaten is probably Seattle. They also beat the Titans. Then again, aside from the Panthers and Ravens, who have the Steelers beaten?

To this point, the Chargers are comparable to the Steelers. They have comparable quarterbacks leading high-powered offenses and decent defenses. The team statistics are fairly even. Both have a few decent victories. Both lost to the Chiefs. Both lost to the Broncos. The Steelers' only major advantage is that they are playing at home. Even that edge has been diminished because it is a night game.

We could go back and forth a lot on this, but one could say 2 Raiders wins a Bills win ,1 point win against Titans and barely getting past 49ers(2 point win) is hardly comparable to what we have done so far..
I think we take care of business but hey ,we'll see .

i was a little worried about us peaking too early but the denver loss may just be the thing we needed to get the focus back. getting our guys healthy will be key for a stretch run against a tough schedule and the playoffs.

i'm not as worried about gilbert as i am mcdonald and tuitt. feiler getting back may help and chuks got some valuable reps. somebody would have to go if eli or ola are to play. i'm not to sure gilbert doesn't end up on IR before long.

With Gordon out butler better pay attention to these backups:

Losing Melvin Gordon is less than ideal, obviously. As others have said, he’s having a career season and even beyond the stats he’s clearly taken a giant leap in the right direction. That being said, Austin Ekeler is ready for the increased role in the offense that many have wanted for him the entire season. Ekeler offers things that Gordon doesn’t so while it won’t be a one for one exchange, I believe he can match production. Additionally, the guys behind Ekeler were both promising (Jackson in college, Newsome in preseason) and should be ready to pitch in as needed. Both had over 100 receptions in college, as well as being very productive running, so they shouldn’t handcuff the offense as far as their versatility goes. The offense may not look exactly the same, but that doesn’t mean it won’t be just as effective.

I look at the losses differently because Denver is a divisional opponent for them so they always play eachother tough. Other than Denver they've lost to the rams and chiefs 2 of the best 3 teams in the nfl. Chargers are very good.

I think this will be a bounce back game for us and we will play good. If we lose it will be because the Chargers played their best game of the year.

Tuitt was back at practice Wednesday, but limited. I forgot one when I mentioned injuries above. Bud Dupree also missed Wednesday's practice with an injury.

The Steelers have shown this year that another team does not need it's best game of the year to beat them. Steelers like to give a helping hand to the other team to keep us on our toes.
